Hello everyone, this is Cooka, PD of The Lost Study! It's been a while.
Today I have two pieces of good news to share.
First — the demo for The Lost Study is coming soon! 🎊
And second, I'd like to introduce, for the very first time, the team members who have been building The Lost Study all this time.
We're currently working towards a demo release on 7 October. If implementation wraps up sooner than expected we may bring that forward slightly, but that's the plan as it stands. We had mentioned September in an earlier record, and we've shifted the date a little to make sure the demo is in the best possible shape.
The first version of the demo has been implemented, and internal testing is now underway. After a final verification test on 20 September, it will be released on Steam.
This is Mocha, a developer who works in game development as her day job too.
She implemented [The Marine Life Observation Journal] and [The Anti-Piracy Log], along with the latter half of 219. The Palace Beneath the Sea, and is currently hard at work on the translation feature.
This is Rumi, a developer who has grown alongside SONAK for four years.
She implemented the majority of the stories, and is currently hard at work on the tutorial for the demo build.
This is Gangnangkong, our background concept artist, who brings the world of The Lost Study to life with her storybook-like backgrounds.
She also worked on the art for the story collection window, as well as the loading screens.
This is Mabaem, a concept artist responsible for the art of the story street that lets you travel between the many stories of The Lost Study, the pop-up book covers for each story, and the items within the quizzes. She's also taking on English proofreading.
This is Guri, who has been introducing you to Ru and Penny these past two months.
She's a concept artist working mainly on character art and entrance map art, and has also contributed to backgrounds and items.
Putting her Japanese degree to good use, she's hard at work on the Japanese translation as well.
Jingni is our newest UI/UX designer, working on the interface and menus you'll see throughout the game. She's also involved in the Steam content design you've been seeing.
This is Chelly, who told you Erdentuya's story.
She handles quiz design and the Chinese translations, both Simplified and Traditional.
Drawing on her day job as a webtoon PD, she's also contributed to editing the Instagram comics you've seen.
And finally, this is me, Cooka, the PD.
I oversee everything from art commissioning to development communication, and I'm responsible for the game design, the entire story, and the English translation.
On 22 September, I'll be back with a detailed look at what's inside the demo.
Please look forward to the demo release! Thank you.

Sincerely, Cooka
