The details make the place

Hey Gas Jockeys!

A big part of running a roadside business is making it feel like your place. That's where decorations come in.

In Gas Station Simulator, you can fill the station with everything from old barrels, signs and posters to lamps, trophies, plants and various pieces of roadside memorabilia. As you add more to the station, it slowly becomes something that feels less like an abandoned stop in the desert and more like a business that has its own personality.

For Roadhouse Simulator, we wanted the decorations to reflect a very different kind of place. That's why you'll find neon beer and diner signs, guitars, dartboards, old clocks, paintings, flags, deer heads, Route 66 signs and plenty of wall art.

Some decorations help set the mood, some make the Roadhouse feel more authentic, and some are simply there because a roadside bar without a few strange things on the walls wouldn't quite feel right.

We also wanted players to have some freedom in deciding what their place looks like. The same Roadhouse can feel completely different depending on which details you choose to surround it with.
Because sometimes it's the small things like a neon sign above the bar, an old guitar on the wall, or a slightly questionable painting in the corner… that make a place feel like it has been there for years.

And that's something we wanted both games to have: places that feel lived in, not just built.

Community4 Oct 2026More than just a Gas StationHey Gas Jockeys! When we first created Gas Station Simulator , the idea was pretty simple: take an ordinary roadside business , give the player control over it , and see what happens when things inevitably get a little out of hand. But as the world of GSS grew, so did the possibilities. We started wondering what else could exist around the same world . What would happen if we took that same ide…Community27 Sep 2026Not everything needs to be biggerHey Gas Jockeys! When we were working on Roadhouse Simulator , one of the interesting differences from Gas Station Simulator was the scale of the space we were building . GSS gives you a larger station with plenty of room to move around, expand the business and add new services. There is a lot happening across the property, and the size of the station is an important part of how the game feels.…Community26 Sep 2026The things we put on the shelvesHey Gas Jockeys! When you're running a business , it's easy to think of the products on your shelves as just another part of the gameplay. But when we were working on Gas Station Simulator and Roadhouse Simulator , we also had to think about what actually made sense for each place. A gas station needs things that travellers might want on the road like something to drink , something to eat , som…
