A story call can carry more tension when the signal itself starts to fail. WarpRacer's Signal Distortion Lab gave us a focused space to rehearse that feeling: frozen moments, torn picture, bursts of static, and sound that breaks up alongside the image. We could replay each take and adjust when the disruption struck before choosing a version for the game. That work led to approved distorted story clips during development. The image below is an early lab study, showing a signal-collapse effect in isolation. It's a small look behind the scenes at shaping the atmosphere between the racing and combat.
