Dear Adventurers, this is the largest update since the relaunch: a living sky above the town, the Rampart rebuilt from the ground up, an alchemist's cauldron, class forks in three skill trees, a Power that is measured in simulated fights, and a rework of how gear affixes roll. Several strong sources were lowered along the way. The list is below.
The Firmament · a new place in town, the Observatory. The sky turns in real time and is the same for every slayer: fifteen wanderers cross twelve houses, and a wanderer you have bound lends you the gift of the house it stands in. When a slow wanderer crosses a node an eclipse begins, ciphers fall more often and some foes rise as Starborn.
Ciphers, Almanac and Stele · ciphers drop in every fight and overnight, 96 signs in 13 tinctures. They fall by the time you spend fighting, not by the number of kills. The Almanac collects them and turns four alike into one of the next tincture. At the Stele you write up to seven verses from a sign, an element, an operator and a seal. Verses are stored in your loadouts, and eight new titles reward the collection.
The Rampart, rebuilt · a dark fortress with twelve defenders, three kinds for each class. Foes drop gold during the run, defenders can be upgraded, a Drill strengthens all of them, the Curfew Bell (key Q) stops a wave once, you can call the next wave early and tell every defender whom to aim at. The report lists every defender's damage and what broke the wall.
Daily decree and Payday · every day the Rampart carries one decree, sometimes two. Waves held today fill the town's Payday bar, a full bar pays +10% gold and XP until midnight.
The Alchemist's Cauldron · herbs drop from kills. Six elixirs with three tiers each: Vigor, Might, Stone, Fortune, Insight and the Hunter. Brewed tiers stay learned, one elixir is active at a time and switching is free.
Class forks · ten fork pairs in the Necromancer tree, the Archer's Hunt and the Arcanum. A fork costs one point and only one side can be taken.
Power is measured in fights · your build fights simulated shades of the Gravemaw on rising tiers, and the tier it reaches is your Power. The scale is new, so every number differs from the last patch. Item cards show the change in Power and in kills per hour against your farm target.
Six loadouts · six slots instead of three, each with its own hotkey, and no slot is locked any more.
Auras · four new prefixes on chest pieces and amulets: Aura of Wrath, Aura of Haste, Aura of Thorns (Knight) and Aura of Dread (Necromancer). An aura grants a strong bonus and costs 10% to 20% of your Defense. Only the strongest aura counts.
Twelve new affixes · Penetration, Total Primary Stat, Total Defense, Opening Blow, Finishing Blow, Regeneration, Damage Reduction, Total Speed, Second Strike, Life on Kill, Crit Resistance and Drop Rate.
Challenges count per account and ask for harder goals. What you had already earned stays.
A fight log in Test build and Theorycraft shows where the damage came from, what healed you and how long a kill took.
Every slot rolls its own affixes · a weapon leans to offense, armor to defense, jewelry to crits and utility. A Type re-roll draws from the pool of that slot. Affixes an older piece already carries stay until you re-roll them.
All Skills raises only the ranked core nodes of a tree. Forks and one-point nodes (capstones, keystones, switches) need a point of your own or a skill bonus that names them. This is a reduction for everyone who wears All Skills.
Elemental Resists · one suffix replaces the five single element resists, at half their height each. Blood Resist stays on its own.
Ten uniques and sets that stood far above the rest were lowered. Furybrand Grips no longer raise the Onrush cap.
Baked item power tops out at +40% on tier 10 instead of +50%. Items you own keep their values.
Second Strike works for every class · it had only worked on the Knight. The Archer looses a second arrow, a Mage or Necromancer cast lands twice, and the Shade Legion gains the same share.
The Exalt re-roll costs a flat 30 Marks and one Skull.
Rampart: endless waves grow 12% per wave instead of 6%, so best depths shift.
Offline progress runs for up to 24 hours instead of 12.
Keymaster and Chestmaster use the ladder 1, 10, 100, 500, 2,000 and 5,000.
The gear optimizer can aim for gold per hour or XP per hour against your farm target.
The loot filter has a minimum tier, and its affix lists are complete.
Hold Z on a ring to compare against your other ring.
The Masterwork order shows the Defense cost of an aura before you pay.
The re-roll reel shows only affixes that can land.
Ten languages: every line added since the last patch is translated.
27 errors from a full review of the game are fixed, among them offline XP of gilded foes and a double kill at the Rampart.
Three class affixes that could never roll now roll.
Ancient foes killed offline in the Darkness give keys and chests like live ones.
Bold text lost the letters "ffi".
Grudgework named a cap of 50, the true cap is 45.
Your save gains new fields. An older build cannot open it afterwards.
Items you already own keep their affixes and values. The slot pools, the new affixes and the lower baked power apply to new drops, re-rolls and crafts.
Power numbers are on a new scale and cannot be compared with older screenshots.
Thank you.
