Your journey comes to life
Watch your character travel through colourful regional scenery, meet wandering characters, and pass other adventurers on their own journeys. Some are heading the other way. Others have stopped to chat, face a monster, or rest beside a campfire.
Look out for conversations about the places around you—you’re sharing these roads with a whole world of travellers!
Take control of the road
Run at twice walking speed using a separate energy bar. Walking restores energy, and you automatically slow down when it runs out.
Turn Back towards the last named location you passed—or choose Continue if you change your mind again.
Passing somewhere interesting? Take the opportunity to enter along the way.
Golden location announcements mark your departures, passing landmarks and arrivals.
127 roadside upgraded events to discover
Lost belongings, unusual treasures, mysterious visitors and regional discoveries now appear right beside you. Watch butterflies flutter, strange treasures shimmer, vials bubble, and unexpected arrivals appear in a puff of smoke.
Fight where trouble finds you
Monsters now appear on the road itself, from smaller creatures to imposing enemies. Fight, try sneaking past, or call on your party!
Road battles bring your skills, potions and consumables into the travel scene. Party members can help without losing their own journeys. Nearby adventurers can see when you’re fighting, marked by a new crossed-swords badge.
Keep an eye out for unusual monster rarities, including Legend!
Catch your breath and keep going
Fleeing a road battle takes you back one checkpoint; defeat takes you back two.
After defeat, rest beside a campfire while your health recovers, then continue when you feel ready. You don’t have to wait for full health—and nearby travellers can see your resting campfire, too.
Dawn, dusk, rain and snow
Warm sunsets fade into starry nights. Clouds drift overhead, rain gathers in puddles, and snow dusts the roadside, rooftops and trees. Enjoy the weather as you travel the road.
More improvements across Upgradia
Tent upgrades now correctly replace tents stored in your bank. Upgraded tents go to your inventory, or overflow mail when your bag is full.
Improved mail reward collection and protection for unclaimed items. Sending to a full inbox keeps your items and gold with you.
Clearer notifications, with celebrations at the top-left and everyday updates at the bottom-left.
Removed duplicate messages and overlapping hover help.
Smoother Farm NPC walking and clearer combat effects, monster labels and travel controls.
