You work the front desk at Sweetie's Motel. By day you answer the phone and take the guests' requests up to their rooms: forty towels for one, a new room key for another because her husband swallowed the first one. At nightfall the power cuts out and the front doors lock. After that, every call sends you upstairs with a flashlight, and Sweetie can't move while your light is on her.
On shift
- Keep her in the light. You can't fix a faucet and hold the light on her at the same time, and if you keep it on her too long it starts to sputter.
- Fill the request. Carry towels and soap up to the rooms, haul trays back down to the kitchen, fix the plumbing and get the breakers back on.
- Shut the door. A shut door holds her for a moment while she works the handle. The lobby is the only safe place in the motel.
- Don't keep the guests waiting. Six regulars bring their requests to you in person. Ignore one for too long and Sweetie gets to them before you do, and the next night they come looking for you too.
- She doesn't stay where you left her. Doors open on their own, and she turns up on other floors.
- One touch and you're done. There's no fighting back and nowhere to hide.
Pick a shift
- Story Shift: a week at Sweetie's, five nights long and saved between them. Floors open and guests check in as the week goes on.
- Endless Shift: day after day and night after night of calls until she catches you, with your best run saved to Steam Cloud.
- Crew Shift: online co-op for 2–4 players over Steam, with proximity voice chat. She freezes in anyone's light and goes after whoever isn't watching. If she catches you, you wake up pinned to a bed upstairs and your crew has to come get you. Windows, macOS and Linux players can play together.
Every shift plays on keyboard and mouse or an Xbox controller, and the game is in ten languages.
