A patch about how combat and the world feel and sound: characters speak, Surya has an ambience, stuns are visible and leap skills no longer throw you back. Beta pricing arrives too. Update required: the world checks the client version when you connect.
Combat and movement
- Movement skills (Wind Step, Shattering Vault, Onslaught, Seismic Leap and the rest) no longer throw your character back when they end: the server follows the leap instead of correcting it. There is a cap per use, so nobody can stretch them.
- The movement cheat protection no longer mistakes Immovable Body or the leaps of Piercing Slash and Fleeting Assault for cheating.
- Animated stuns: a stunned character staggers, stays dazed for as long as the effect lasts and recovers — all four lineages, men and women. Moving cuts the recovery short.
- Skills cost half the Resonance.
- Regeneration is no longer multiplied out of combat: only resting speeds it up. The figure on the character sheet is what you heal.
Yodha
- Master's Blessing, Shared Breath, Vow of the Eternal Breath and Void of the Lotus are instant: no cast bar. The effect lands when you press it, and the animation, visual effect and sound all start together.
- Everything in green, the lineage's colour: buff auras, heals, hit impacts, critical hits and the shield aura.
Skill effects
- Each buff shows one cast effect and one aura for as long as it lasts: no more bursts repeating every few seconds. Instant skills only show their cast effect.
- The aura is different from the cast effect. Iron Blood and Bloodthirst have a crimson aura, and Call to War a golden one.
Sound
- Character voices for all four lineages, men and women: running out of Resonance, dropping under 35 % health, being downed and dying. In English, Spanish or Portuguese depending on the game language (English for the rest).
- Ambient sound in Surya: wind and village life from the moment you enter the world. It has its own slider, Ambient Volume, in Options › Sound.
- The Music slider now controls only the in-world music: the music on the account screens keeps its level and always plays. The world music is quieter and steady.
Economy
- Materials dropped by beasts sell for three times as much, and beasts that drop no materials give double coins.
- Beta pricing at the vendors: gear costs about what one level of hunting at its level earns, and refining goods (stones and powders) cost half.
- Cheaper health and Resonance potions; shop food, bandages and tonics cost their ingredients plus 25 %.
Interface
- Rarity borders on equipment and in the inventory show the item's real rarity: epic, legendary or mythic pieces no longer show the plain border.
- Unspent points are marked with a red "!" on the character and skill buttons, and the level bar is split into 10 segments.
- Boss quests warn under the objectives that going as a group is recommended.
- Used-up consumables leave the bar, combat text is easier to read, the PK button and crafting counters have new art, and the chat stays visible: a red dot marks a channel with unread messages.
