Thanks to everyone who played, wrote feedback, and stuck around through Early Access. 1.0 is here because of you. On September 18 just update and jump in.
On May 17, we launched Early Access featuring this gameplay loop and the initial improvements. The procedural generation system was only half-implemented, and some movement abilities remained disabled.
In June, we rapidly rolled out updates. Skill development. Customization. A hidden storyline. New themes and weather conditions.
July defined the game's true form. A branching map, climbing mechanics, and a new grappling hook were introduced. A run summary was added, and support for fifteen languages was implemented.
August slipped. Leaving Early Access moved from early September to the 14th, then to the 18th. Connecting systems took longer than the roadmap.
On September 5, the honest list: Workshop is parked. Gamepad is out. Weeks went into the gamepad and it was still a mess, so it does not ship in 1.0.
Until September 18, we are playing the game, polishing fine details, and fixing bugs.
A few things are missing from this recap on purpose. Putting them here would spoil the climb.
We created this as a two-person team, with a little help from third-party assets: a few music tracks and some small UI icons.
For this 1.0 version, special thanks:
