This one is mostly about things that were already there but never quite worked. And about a question from the forum: how much of the match do you actually want to see?

Matchday

  • Four levels instead of one: the stadium as before, a flat top-down view with 22 discs, dressing room only, or just the result. You can switch per game: the derby live, the rest right away.

  • The flat view costs 0.30 instead of 7.80 milliseconds per frame. That makes the game run on weak hardware, as promised in the store.

  • Skipping used to be cheaper than watching: an injury in a skipped half cost you nothing. Now it counts.

Team talk

  • Three moments instead of one: before kick-off, at half-time, after the final whistle. Fifteen choices, 75 outcomes. It used to be the same six buttons every time, and before kick-off there was none at all.

  • After the match it shapes the whole week: morale, fitness, fan bond, training, injury risk. Go out celebrating and Monday training suffers.

  • It sits next to the strength comparison: being favourite or underdog shifts the odds.

Savegames

  • Every career keeps its own: the running save, your own, an archive per season and the last ten matchdays. Before, all careers shared five numbered slots.

  • They live on your hard drive instead of browser storage: no more "storage full". And deleting asks first.

Finances

  • The season forecast dropped by a quarter between starting a career and the first week. It assumed a flat 17 home games whatever the size of your league, then showed only the 60% already booked.

  • Every stadium upgrade names its upkeep before you build.

Everything else

  • Every number field has plus and minus: ticket prices, bank, merchandising, transfer bids, world editor.

  • The Workshop opens in Steam instead of your browser, and subscriptions are picked up on startup by themselves.

  • Every build is checked against four reference savegames: your career survives the update.

Tell me what you run into.
