I know... the World Cup has already been going on for a while. But as a Brazilian, a football fan, and a gamedev, I just couldn't let it pass without doing something special.
During the World Cup, the football balls have received a special makeover! Every country that has won a World Cup now has its own unique sprite.

Keep in mind that this is purely a visual change. You can still merge football balls with different designs— even if that feels a little cursed. 😅

Some players mentioned that the new box artwork made it harder to distinguish the side boundaries. Because of that, I'm working on a customization system that will let you choose between the classic and the new box art, as well as additional box themes.
That feature will take a little more time to finish, so for now I've adjusted the colors of the new box to make the boundaries easier to see. Let me know if it feels better!
I also added a small splash screen when the game starts. Nothing too fancy, but hopefully it'll help you remember your favorite gamedev... haha. (Let me dream. 😄)
I also fixed a couple of small issues you may not have even noticed:
Fixed an incorrect shadow effect on the new fonts.
Fixed an issue where the background movement could occasionally become desynchronized.
