Hi everyone,

If you've been following us, this release may come as a bit of a surprise, so here's a little backstory as to how we got here...

The Vision

Legends of Starkadia was written to be a massive open-world RPG spanning over 11 worlds. After spending almost two years of development and only completing the first world, it became painfully clear that the scope was just too big for a studio our size.

Unfortunately, this put us in a very difficult position. After completing Scrap World, we decided to postpone any further development on the game.

The Demo

But it’s not all bad news.

Instead of letting all that time and effort remain buried, we decided to turn what we built into something playable.

With the demo, you can expect approximately 2 hours of gameplay, covering the first chapter of a much larger story. In total, that story spans over 300 pages, written by Burke Scurfield, whose previous work includes various Netflix productions.

The demo is now live and shortly after Steam's Next Fest, we'll be fully releasing Legends of Starkadia in its current form so everyone can experience the first chapter.
Of course, it would be nice to recover a small part of the cost, but to us, that doesn't feel right. Therefore, it'll release for free.

The Pivot - Welcome to Harmony

Since then, we’ve shifted our focus to a new project called Welcome to Harmony, a deckbuilding roguelite with a much more manageable scope.

If you enjoy your time here, we’d really appreciate you checking out Welcome to Harmony and adding it to your wishlist!

If you give the Welcome to Harmony demo a try, keep your eyes peeled for some inspiration taken directly from Legends of Starkadia!

That's it for now. We hope you enjoy!

As always, we’d love to hear from you. Join us on our official Discord and let us know your thoughts!

Before that announcement, the game ha…Community2 Sep 2026An Honest Update on the Future of Legends of StarkadiaHey everyone, We want to talk openly about Legends of Starkadia, where it stands, and a shift in our plans for the game. When we launched Starkadia, we were deeply transparent about its development. As a small team, the original 11-planet vision was simply too massive. Rather than shelving two years of hard work, we packaged Scrap World, the first planet in the epic adventure, and released it f…Steam news7 Jul 2026Legends of Starkadia - Official ReleaseHi everyone, Today is the day that we fully release Scrap World - the first world of an epic 11+ planetary adventure! If you've been following our journey, you'll know that the full 300-page vision was too big for a small team of our size to complete. Rather than let our 2 years of work never see the light of day, we've decided to release most of what we completed so far. FAQ · Will you continu…
