10-Man Idle - Release Notes
Version: release.v1.5.0
Platform: Windows & macOS
======================================
A FRESH NEW LOOK
----------------
* The whole interface has been redesigned: softer rounded panels,
new typography, gold trim, and the title-screen art glowing
faintly behind the game screen. Your Background and UI Trim
color choices still apply.
* New, cleaner text. Enlarged and small text no longer looks
blurry or jagged.
* Icons replace the old letter buttons: info, reorder arrows,
close, settings, rename / new face / gender, and the bank's
weapon / armor / material filters.
* Every item in the bank now has a picture in a rarity-colored
frame: all ores, bars, cloth, leather, herbs, logs, fish,
potions, flasks, food, feasts and gathering tools have brand new
icons, and horses show their stable portrait.
* Hero cards get a class-colored accent, a glowing portrait frame
and a clearer ON / OFF switch.
* Log panels show the time each entry happened.
* Gold now has a proper coin, in the top bar and on gold pickups.
NEW: MONSTER ENCOUNTERS
-----------------------
* While your heroes quest or gather, a monster may ambush one of
them every few minutes. It fits what they're doing: rats and
kobolds in the copper mines, goblins at the gold veins, wraiths
in the graveyard, bandits on the delivery road, and the enemy
your hero was sent to fight on a hunt. Over 40 hand-drawn
monsters in all.
* Click the glowing weak spot to strike; it moves after every
hit. Win before it escapes for bonus gold and a chance at
materials from what your hero was doing, or even a piece of
gear.
* Not in the mood? Ignore it and it wanders off after 15 seconds.
Your quest or gathering carries on exactly as before.
* Encounters never interrupt a popup, and you can switch them off
in Options.
NEW: THE TRAVELING TRADER
-------------------------
* A traveling trader rolls into town every one to four hours of
play (the first visit comes 20-40 minutes in) and stays for 15
minutes with six limited wares at 25-40% below auction house
prices.
* The wares improve as your guild levels up: more Rare gear, and
from guild level 40 a small chance of an Epic piece.
* Look for the arrival banner and the Trader button on the
Actions panel. The visit is kept in your save, so restarting the
game won't change what's on offer.
SAFER SAVES
-----------
* Closing the window now saves your game. Before, anything since
the last autosave (up to 5 minutes) was lost.
* If a save file gets damaged, the game now loads your newest
good backup instead of showing the slot as corrupted, and keeps
the damaged file aside.
* Saving can no longer leave a slot looking empty if the game or
the computer stops halfway through a save.
* If a slot fails to load, the game now stops saving for that
session instead of risking writing another guild over it.
* Menu > No now really returns to the title screen without
saving.
* Starting a new guild no longer inherits the previous slot's play
time, and a deleted slot's old backups can't be restored into a
new guild.
FIXES
-----
* Clicking outside a popup to close it no longer also clicks the
button underneath, even if the game hitches on that frame.
* The screen behind a popup no longer lights up or shows tooltips
when your mouse passes over it.
* Opening a gear or flask/food picker no longer equips whatever
was under the mouse in the picker.
* Typing a space or pressing Enter in the Auction House search or
in hero rename no longer closes the window.
* Dismissing a hero now returns their gear, tools, horse and
consumables to the bank (anything that doesn't fit is paid out
at its sell price), and the confirmation says so.
* Heroes in a dungeon or raid can no longer be sent gathering,
crafting or questing at the same time.
* Auction House: different rarities of the same item are now
separate rows, and each sells at the price shown. Before, an
Epic could sell at the Common price.
* The bank shows each rarity of an item on its own row, so an Epic
copy no longer hides inside its Common row.
* Mail gloves showed the wrong rarity's picture (Common gloves
looked Legendary). Each rarity now has its own art. The Wolfslayer
Sniper Rifle shows a bow, and the Ward offhands show a shield.
* Recruiting now asks before hiring, and replacing a member when
the guild is full asks too.
* Letting go after drag-scrolling a list no longer clicks the row
under the mouse.
* Level-ups earned while you were away now show in the Welcome
Back report instead of replacing it.
* Long confirmation messages no longer push the Yes / No buttons
out of the box.
* Smaller fixes: guild names are capped at 20 characters to match
the hint, the Codex now says raids need 6 heroes, and the action
strip shows a raid's name.
SAVE COMPATIBILITY
------------------
Fully backward-compatible. Existing saves load and play as
before on all platforms. Back up your saves before rolling back
to an older version after playing this one.
Thank you for playing and for all the feedback. Keep the reports
and suggestions coming!
