Release 1.1.0 - Editor Revamp

This update adds huge updates to the map editor. There are three main features:

Sectors within Sectors

You can now create sectors within other sectors. The engine automatically triangulates the sectors to create the hole within the larger one. This will significantly speed up development

New Editor Tools

There are now 5 drawing tools
Free Hand: Similar to the old way of drawing walls. Now there is more information about the sector you are going to create. And you can press Space or Enter to force place walls even if they do not create a sector. Press Shift to snap to 45 degree angles.
Rectangle Tool: Allows you to draw a rectangle sector. Press Shift to force a square
Polygon Tool: Allows you to create any regular polygon with rotation.
Circle Tool: Similar to the polygon tool except the circle tool lets you create ellipses as well. Press Shift to force a circle.
Curve Tool: Allows you to draw a curve.

Geometry Mode

In this mode, you can move existing sectors and edit walls. You can move the corners of a sector or the whole wall.
Left Click to pick a wall. Double Left Click to pick a corner
Press Shift while selecting to select multiple corners / walls

Bug Fixes, QoL Features and Minor Updates

  • Grid Fix: The grid now stays the same logical size no matter how much you zoom in and out
  • Removed Dot Mode. Added an option to disable "Snap to the Grid" which replaces the dot mode.
  • Made it so the level does not need a Player Controller or a Camera to function. (Note: if the level does not have a camera it will just be white)
  • Fixed crash when enabling Texture View Mode in the level editor
  • The runtime editor now saves camera rotation in between sessions alongside position.
  • When a new project is opened. The engine remembers
  • Made it so you can change your move speed by Q (+speed) and E (-speed) in the runtime editor. You can press Left Shift to default back to 50
  • Entities can have multiple scripts attached to them
  • Added the ability to drag and drop files inside the asset browser to different folders.
  • The engine now remembers the last loaded level and starts with it when the engine starts. If there are no level files in the Assets folder (i.e first time creating a project) it will create a blank level called "New Level"

More Wiki Pages

Added more pages to the wiki.
Most notably added a guide on how to create your first level. Starting from installing the engine to building the level.
It is still under development and more pages will be added soon

Version: 1.1.0
