🗺️ Tilky Engine Community Map Jam!


Calling all level designers, modders, and creators! We are excited to announce our upcoming Map Jam! Whether you are a seasoned environment artist or have never touched a level editor before, this event is for you. There are no strict expectations, no pressure, and no monetary prizes—just a fun weekend to flex your creativity, share your creations, and build awesome levels using the Tilky Engine.


📅 Key Dates & Times

  1. Jam Start: Friday, September 4th

  2. Jam End: Monday, September 7th

  3. Timezone: GMT (UTC+0)

  4. Theme Voting Closes:Friday at 2:00 PM GMT+0

Note on Deadlines: Don't worry if life gets in the way or you need a bit of extra time to polish your level! Submission times will be relaxed, so feel free to submit slightly late if needed.


🗳️ Help Choose the Theme!


We want the community to decide what kind of maps we'll be building! You can cast your vote right now for the official map jam theme on our Discord Server. Make sure to get your votes in before Friday at 2:00 PM GMT+0, when the winning theme will be announced to launch the jam!


📜 Event Requirements & Guidelines


To keep things accessible and fun for everyone, here are the rules for participation:

  1. Engine Requirement: All submissions must be built in the Tilky Engine. (You are free to use any version of the engine).

  2. Focus on Level Design: You only need to build an environment/level! Adding gameplay mechanics or logic is completely optional.

  3. Sprites & Visuals: Adding sprite entities is optional, but highly encouraged to bring your scene to life.

  4. Textures & Assets: You are welcome and encouraged to use pre-made textures as long as you have the legal right to use them.


🏆 Voting & Community Showcase


Once the submission period ends on Monday, the showcase and voting phase begins!

  1. How Voting Works: Everyone will vote on submitted levels by rating them on a scale of 1 to 5.

  2. Where to Vote: Voting will take place directly in our Discord

  3. Who Can Vote:Anyone! You don't need to submit a map to participate in voting—come check out what the community built and support your favorite creators.

  4. Winner: The map with the highest average score will be crowned the community winner!


💬 How to Participate

  1. Head over to our Discord to vote for the theme.

  2. Grab your copy of the Tilky Engine and get ready for Friday!

  3. Build your map over the weekend and submit it on Discord.
