  • Pre-baked worlds — 5 hand-structured map layouts with randomized ore and salvage placement for more varied runs
  • Fog of war — raycast-blocked line of sight with smooth shadowed edges
  • Faction system UI — live mission tracker, end-of-day faction summary, and faction standing in the inventory panel
  • Steam integration — achievements, Steam Cloud saves, and full controller navigation

Improvements

  • Much faster load times — roughly 24s down to ~7s
  • Reworked ore rendering — metallic marching-squares shader with organic, veined edges
  • Richer terrain visuals — depth-based color gradients, warmer fog, a player radial light, and stronger surface detail
  • Ore detection — clean white ping circles for located ore
  • Drill polish — spinning drill shader, exhaust smoke trails, tuned drill speed and tip sparks
  • Cleaner HUD — fluid fuel and hull bars; removed the ore-pickup popup text
  • Streamlined economy — ore converts to sellable ingots immediately on pickup


Bug Fixes

  • Overheat vent now properly destroys blocks, with smoother lava fog glow
  • Reduced drill heat buildup when mining ore
  • Fixed particle silhouettes and correctly hid particles inside fog of war
