The game you previously knew as Echoes of the Lost is now called Pale Static.
Why the name changed
Another game on Steam already uses the name Echoes of the Lost. To avoid confusion between the two projects, I decided to change the title now, while development is still at an early stage.
What stays the same
The game itself has not changed. Pale Static remains the same cinematic first-person survival horror, following Rook and his squad through a quarantined town where communications have gone silent.
The story, gameplay, chapter-based Early Access plan and free demo currently in development all remain the same. Existing wishlists also carry over automatically - you do not need to add the game again.
Why Pale Static
The town fell silent before the squad arrived. Every channel carries only static, while something beneath the streets waits to be uncovered.
The new name is closer to the atmosphere and central mystery of the game.
