Final Week: Share Your Playtest Feedback + Win a Game

Brightfall · published 16 Sep 2026, 12:55 UTC

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

First of all: a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has already played Brightfall and told us what you think.

There are only a few days left in the playtest, and your feedback is already changing what we’re working on:

  • Combat needs more breathing room - stamina was disappearing after only a few attacks, so we’re adjusting it to make fighting feel less restrictive

  • The map isn’t as readable as we thought - your feedback made it clear that navigation needs more work, so improving map clarity is now a bigger priority

  • Building matters more than we realised - even though we clearly marked it as an early system, it was still one of the things you commented on most. That tells us how important it is to the game, so we’ll be putting even more work into making it genuinely fun to use as soon as possible

That’s really the simplest reason your feedback matters to us -seeing what people actually enjoy, struggle with, or completely misunderstand helps us decide what Brightfall needs most next! ːhappystar2022ː

Played Brightfall? We’d really like to hear from you

If you’ve spent some time on the Isle, please open Brightfall and fill out the updated in-game survey. Positive, negative, somewhere in between - all of it counts.

And for the final week, we’ve added a small thank-you for taking the time:

Share your feedback, win one of our games

Complete the updated in-game survey and leave your contact details at the end for a chance to win a key for either Achilles: Survivor or Achilles: Legends Untold.
The winners can choose which game they want and their preferred platform.

We’ll pick 5 winners from players who submit completed surveys with genuine feedback. Your answers do not need to be long, and you definitely don’t need to tell us what you think we want to hear 😅

We’re looking for real feedback, though! Blank surveys and “good game” x10 will not fool us :D

The survey is available directly in Brightfall - just launch the playtest!

Leaving your email or Discord username is optional and only required if you want to enter the giveaway. We’ll use it only to contact the winners.

Already filled out the survey?

First of all - thank you. Your feedback absolutely still counts, and some of the changes above exist because of it! The previous survey was completely anonymous, though, which means we have no way to contact you for the giveaway. Our bad 🤦‍♀️

If you submitted feedback before the giveaway was announced, send us a message on Discord (look for roni_j) or at [email protected] with roughly when you filled out the survey and a sentence or distinctive fragment you remember writing in one of the open questions - for example, what frustrated you, what you enjoyed, or what you thought would make Brightfall better.

We’ll match it with the anonymous responses we already have and add you to the giveaway.

Please don’t send us a completely random guess, though. We do have the original responses ;)

Whether you participate in the playtest or not - thank you for helping us build Brightfall from the beginning ❤️

Don't worry if you missed this playtest - there will be plenty more chances to join us later, with future playtests, a public demo, Steam Next Fest, and eventually Early Access.

~ Dark Point Games Team

Which is noble, useful, and, in general, quite enough. In Brightfall, however, we made the slightly less reasonable decision to ask more of it. Hello again, everyone!
