OLED Guard 5.8 is now available!

This update makes protection smarter, more responsive, and easier to understand—especially during gaming.

What’s new:

- Responsiveness now meaningfully controls buildup speed. Relaxed waits for long-static content, Balanced uses natural timing, and Responsive protects fastest. All modes still release quickly when content changes. ːsteamthisː ːsteamhappyː
- Game IQ better preserves genuine HUD protection while clearing stale overlays when menus, messages, or HUD elements disappear. ːsteamthisː ːsteammockingː
- Away Mode can reduce supported monitors to 20% hardware brightness through DDC/CI, then restore the exact previous brightness when you return. It will never increase an already dimmer display.ːsteamthisː ːsteamhappyː
- Autopilot now explains which Responsiveness tier it selected and why. ːsteammockingː
- Presets have safer migration and more reliable persistence. ːsteamthisː
- Focused-app controls are simpler, replacing several overlapping ignore and mouse-tracking options. ːsteamthumbsupː
- Overlay finishes are now clearer: Fine Grain or Smooth. ːsteamthisː
- Statistics now include estimated OLED panel energy savings. ːsteamhappyː
- Improved text sizing, settings descriptions, translations, and general UI clarity. ːsteamthisː

Thank you for helping us make OLED Guard better. Please continue sharing your feedback and unusual in-game cases they genuinely help improve Game IQ.

If OLED Guard has been useful to you, please consider rating it and leaving a review on Steam - it helps us enormously ːsteamhappyː ːsteamhappyː ːsteamhappyː
