OLED Guard Pro · published · build 24957430

Your OLED took months to earn its burn-in protection history. 5.5 makes sure nothing throws it away. For this update we went hunting for the problems you could feel but never name: the overlay that quietly started over after your screen sat idle, the buildup that vanished after a scroll, the dimming that reset when you switched presets. We root-caused every one of them from live logs, built a regression harness to pin them down for good, and worked through every single report on our feedback board.
Idle screens no longer reset protection. A perfectly still screen used to be mistaken for a capture failure and could silently wipe hours of protection history. Not anymore.
Scrolling bright pages keeps your history. Reading and scrolling no longer erode accumulated protection on white content.
Preset, Autopilot, and profile switches keep buildup. Changing modes releases the visible dim, not the memory underneath.
Monitors keep their settings. Per-monitor tuning now follows the physical panel, so docking or reordering displays never lands your settings on the wrong screen.
Near-zero cost when clear. The overlay now draws a frame only when something actually changes. A transparent overlay costs Windows essentially nothing, and visible dimming updates at a fraction of the old rate.
Optional full-coverage mode. Removes the last uncovered pixel line and lets Windows hand the overlay straight to your display hardware. Windows may then treat it as a fullscreen app and enable Do Not Disturb; the setting explains the trade-off.
Low VRAM mode for constrained GPUs, plus a fixed VRAM leak when disconnecting monitors.
When your screen dims for Away, a faint drifting OLED Guard badge now tells you exactly what is happening, and a single mouse move or key press wakes it. Starting Away from the dashboard also tucks the app into the tray.
Panel pixel-shift motion no longer kicks protection off.
The tray icon now tells the truth about what is protected, and warns when nothing is.
Sharper multi-monitor, mixed-DPI, and fullscreen edge handling.
All of it localized in 10 languages.
Every bug and question on our feedback board was investigated, answered, and, where confirmed, fixed in this release. That is the bar from now on. Keep them coming at board.oledguard.com. Full changelog: oledguard.com/docs/changelog
