A Better Way to Rent

Hey everyone!

We've recently made a significant change to how the rental system works in Car Rental Simulator, and we'd love to share why we decided to redesign it.

Originally, customers would arrive at your lot looking for a specific vehicle. While the system worked, we felt it limited player choice. Most of the decision-making happened before the customer even showed up, leaving little room for you to influence the rental itself.

So we asked ourselves a simple question: what if customers came looking for a type of car instead of a specific model? That's where our new vehicle tag system comes in.

Every vehicle in the game is described by a set of characteristics, such as comfort, performance, and other attributes. Now, customers arrive with their own expectations rather than a predefined vehicle in mind.
One customer may be looking for a comfortable car for a long trip, while another might prioritize performance above everything else. Your task is to look through your fleet and decide which vehicle is the best match for their needs.

This change puts much more control into the player's hands. Instead of the game telling you which car to rent out, you make that decision. It encourages you to think about your fleet, invest in different types of vehicles, and build a business that's prepared for a wide variety of customers.

We believe this approach makes rentals feel more dynamic and rewarding, while also giving every vehicle in your garage a clear purpose. As always, we'd love to hear what you think about this direction.

Don't forget to wishlist Car Rental Simulator, and we'll have more to share very soon!

PS. Don't forget to add the free Prologue to your wishlist!

Building a proper rental business takes time, and when you first arrive at your lot, things are far from perfect. Before you can afford major upgrades, you'll be working on a rough, sandy surface that has definitely seen better days. We wanted the starting lot to really reflect those humble beginnings, so we've been adding more details to make the ground feel properly worn, messy,…Community22 Aug 2026Starting Small: The First Washing SpotHey everyone! Every rental business has to start somewhere, and at the beginning of Car Rental Simulator, you won't have access to a fully equipped car wash just yet. Your first cleaning setup is much simpler. You'll be working with a small handheld pressure washer, which means you need to bring the car to a designated washing spot before getting to work. We wanted to make this area easy to rec…
