The Warrior Within

Jessica survived the infection.

That doesn’t mean it left her.

This week’s video shows a few different sides of OMEGA: The Dead Planet: close-range combat, exploration with the hover bike, and what happens when Jessica’s condition becomes something much more useful than an illness.

Combat

Combat in OMEGA is built around deliberate encounters rather than endless waves of enemies.

Positioning matters. Ammunition matters. Knowing when to fight, when to move, and when something is getting too close matters.

Enemies are designed to put pressure on the player in different ways, especially inside tighter locations where simply creating distance may not always be an option.

The Infection

Jessica may have survived the events of the previous games, but the infection is still part of her.

She is the only remaining lycan in OMEGA, and her transformation isn’t meant to feel like a regular ability or a simple power-up. It is part of Jessica herself, and something that will appear at specific moments throughout the game.

When it does, the balance changes considerably.

Sometimes the best weapon available is Jessica.

Hover Bike

The Arctic is large enough that traversal needed to be more than simply running from one objective to another.

The hover bike gives the player a fast way to explore the open areas, move between points of interest, and return to previously visited locations.

It also turns out that infected colonists and several hundred kilograms of rapidly moving machinery are not an ideal combination.

Who knew?

New Video

Check out the new gameplay video below.

Combat, Jessica’s infection, and a little hover bike chaos.

There are some proven lighting and environment techniques that you mostly see in larger productions. They are harder and more time-consuming to work with, and modern Unreal Engine workflows increasingly push developers toward newer, more…Community30 Aug 2026OMEGA: The Dead Planet – Arctic Survival Gameplay videoOMEGA: The Dead Planet – Arctic Survival Gameplay Jessica walks you through exploration and survival in the Arctic. Weather conditions and times of day are dynamic. After certain periods of time, the weather can change naturally, while lighting and environmental conditions gradually transition into another curated time of day. This is not a fully simulated day…
