Hello blacksmiths!

We finally packed our update that brings one of the most requested features: controller support!

Sorry for making you wait and thank you for showing the the patience and understanding of a dwarf.

Patch 1.1.1: What's New?

Alongside controller support, we've also fixed several bugs, tuned balance in minigame loops, polished the UI based on your feedback and introduced . Plus, we've got some good news about the next update! But first, let’s check out what’s new for this patch!

Controller Support

Now you can play Medieval Crafter: Blacksmith with a controller. Grab your gamepad, kick back, and get to work at the forge.

Assembly Minigame Removed

We hear you! The assembly minigame felt meaningless and tedious, so we've removed this time-consuming, repetitive step completely.

Balance Changes

We've made a range of balance adjustments to keep the smithing loop rewarding and fair.

UI Improvements

Various small UI refinements to make windows and menus cleaner and easier to navigate.

Next Update Brings: Goblin Staff, Equipment Upgrade System, and More!

And now for the good news we promised! A peek at what's coming next.

Medieval Crafter: Blacksmith launched into Full Release back in April. But this doesn't mean we're done with it yet.

We've heard a lot of feedback about the lack of progression and the need for automation and the sense of growth needed polishing. We're planning several features to fix that, and the first step we want to share is the Machine Upgrade System.

Now in the Works: Equipment Upgrade System

Here's the idea: your equipment are no longer static pieces of your workshop. Each of your core equipment can now be upgraded through 5 levels.

What does upgrading do?

Unlocks higher-tier recipes: We're adding another layer to crafting. Before, learning a recipe was enough to craft it. Now, every level makes your equipment capable of crafting a higher tier of item. So you'll need to invest in your equipment to craft better gear, as well.

Better Visuals

Bored of the same old workshop? Upgrading your machines now improves their look, too. As you progress, your workshop looks better and better. And a little spoiler: this is just one small part of the workshop visual improvements we have planned.

Boosted Equipment Performance

Every level makes your equipment a delight to work with. Forging becomes faster, and the gear come out at higher quality.

It's a simple system on paper, but it should hopefully change a lot in terms of gameplay. We want you to feel that sense of progression as you grow into a master blacksmith. Here's hoping this can do that.

The next update brings a lot of improvements to the game, and it's not far off.

Next Update: The Staff System

Our next devlog will be about the staff system!

Being a master blacksmith comes with its perks. Here's a sneak peak from the staff system, a significant new direction in how you manage your forge.

We can't wait to talk about this soon!

Feel free to share your feedback with us.
