This update focuses on improving the journal editing experience, with the goal of reducing unnecessary steps and making journaling faster and more convenient.
Added a shortcut to the Template Editor
You can now open the Journal Template Editor directly from the Journal Editor, without having to look for it in the Settings menu. A shortcut has also been added to the calendar screen.
Journal fields can now be renamed
You can now rename fields directly.
Previously, changing the name of a field was treated as creating a new field. This behavior was originally designed to allow the same field to be shared across multiple templates.
Renaming fields now works more intuitively, while still preserving the ability to share fields between templates.
Updated the journal shortcut
The default shortcut for opening the journal has been changed from L to J.
Pressing the shortcut again will now close the journal as well.
Improved editing for “Option” fields
“Option” fields are now displayed directly instead of using a dropdown menu.
This reduces the interaction from two steps to one, making them much faster to edit.
Improved “Screenshot” fields
We’ve improved both the visual design and editing interactions for Screenshot fields, making screenshots easier to add and manage.
Added an “Instrument” field
Previously, trading instruments were entered manually using a text box. If you mainly trade the same few instruments, having to type them in every time can get repetitive.
You can now add an “Instrument” field when editing a journal template and set up your commonly traded instruments in advance.
Once this field is added, the text box previously used for entering instruments in Companion Mode will be replaced with selectable options, reducing repetitive input.
Improved position direction selection
Position direction has been changed from a dropdown menu to a toggle, allowing you to switch between directions more quickly.
Journals can now be deleted
You can now delete journals directly from the Journal Editor.
The goal of this update is simple: make editing journals easier and faster.
We’ve reduced the number of times you need to open menus, expand dropdowns, or repeatedly enter the same information.
