Hello friends!

First of all: we need to thank you. Having people play and enjoy Seven Blasphemies is incredible, and we are very happy with all the feedback you've sent us.

This is a game that carries a lot of meaning for us. It is a game that reminds us of our nights playing old-school RPGs in our local game stores. It is a game that, by the way, includes the very same characters from those tabletop campaigns! A tribute to our incredible players, who left their marks on me, Eduardo, and on my GM heart. And now, we get to share them with you!

So, let's talk about what will be the first content update for Seven Blasphemies, shall we?

The rationale for the updates

Let's first establish a baseline: the 1.X.0 updates will be the content updates, while the 1.X.Y updates will be smaller fixes and polish.

With each and every update, we want your input on how we should move forward! Especially when it comes to content updates. This post will be the starting point for that, and we want you to send us your suggestions if you have any, be it here on this post, on the Steam Community, or on our Discord!

The first content update: Doom of Titans

This is going to be a free update, including a myriad of interesting enemies to die to, places to perish in, items to be cursed by, and stories to be forgotten within.

The Doom of Titans is currently planned to include:

  • The new desert biome, a perilous place to rival our current Darkwoods in terms of danger.

  • The quest line for the Necromancy of Giants, where a sect of necromancers aims to end the world before the Seventh Blasphemy hits, and to do so on their own terms.

  • Improved faction economics, alliances and warfare, bringing a whole new layer to the game (a suggestion from our dear player ebag51!)

  • New dungeon features, such as the devilish faces in walls (what will they do...?)

  • And, of course, a few more things that we want to come from suggestions from you!

Here's something for you to peek at!

An initial mockup of some of the spritework you'll find in the desert...

Some new features and tiles for the game!

For today, that's it! You are more than welcome to join us on our Discord to talk roguelikes and geeky stuff with us!

We're eager to hear your thoughts and suggestions!

Cheers!

-Eduardo
