Syntax:Overload · published · build 25266198
This update brings the biggest transformation yet to the entrance and overall immersion of SYNTAX: OVERLOAD. Previously, launching the game took you straight to a traditional 2D main menu. Now, we've repackaged the entire main menu into an old-school computer terminal sitting in a dimly lit basement. Players will no longer just be "opening a game menu"—you will be sitting in front of an old CRT monitor, accessing the world of SYNTAX: OVERLOAD through this physical terminal.
Brand New 3D Basement Home Screen Upon launching the game, you will now enter a fully 3D basement environment. The scene includes:
Old-school CRT monitor
Retro desktop PC case
Keyboard and mouse
Vintage external PC speakers, and more... What you see on the CRT screen isn't a pre-recorded video—it's the actual, fully running game itself.
The original settings page was too long and required constant scrolling. It has now been reorganized into four categories. Related settings are grouped together, making overall navigation much more intuitive.

We are turning SYNTAX: OVERLOAD from a simple "game menu" into a terminal that truly exists within the game's universe. The basement is no longer just a cosmetic wrapper outside the game. It will be the first thing players see every time they boot up Terminal B-04.
Moving forward, I will continue to work on gameplay content, balance, and more details for the full release. Thank you all for your continued support and feedback.
See you inside the Terminal. — SYNTAX: OVERLOAD
