Welcome, fellow Demonhosts.

While we keep working on bigger updates and on Demonherd 2, we cooked this small patch for you.

This update focuses on both bugfixes and a new light system for the game! Our next big addition to Demonherd Dungeon is planned for October, featuring new costumes. new scenes and hopefully even more bugfixes.

New Features:

  • Reworked the game's light system. Torches, lanterns and candles will now cast their light in the darkness of the labyrinth. The player's vision is reduced from the previous build, to compesate for this.

  • You can now read the item descriptions during a battle!

  • You can now see the enemy drops in real time.

  • You can now see the number of stacks of Toxin and Scorch.

Balancing:

  • Rebalanced some neutral and character specific cards to improve their utility. The focus was starting cards like Slam and Double Strike which now should feel much more useful.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed the hand duplication bug.

  • Fixed drawing a status card at the start of the turn or during an effect duplicating the ongoing effect.

  • Fixed being reduced to 0 HP by a status card at the start of the turn can cause a crash.

  • Fixed the status icon flickering when inflicting a status on an enemy with Block or Barrier.

  • Fixed the last card of each character not dropping from the shops.

  • Fixed hitting an enemy with Shock state and then drawing a status card can leave the enemy alive at 0 HP.

  • Fixed Melana's dungeon event soflocking the player.

Known Bugs:

  • Equipping an item that grants extra card slots in the deck continues to give its bonuses even after being removed once the deck is built.

  • Rarely, discarding or exiling cards can produce unexpected results, creating “ghost” cards or filling the hand with unusable fake cards.

Major update25 Jul 2026Summer Update! Patch 1.1Welcome, fellow Demonhosts. It’s been over a month since the launch of Demonherd Dungeon. We’ve taken this time to gather your feedback and put together the first of a long series of updates that will gradually fix various bugs and glitches while adding new content to the game — all completely free, of course. These patch notes are divided into 3 categories: New Features, Balancing, and Bugfixe…Community2 Jul 20263000+ Units and Bonus ContentAnd here we are. We waited a few days before posting this because we were honestly blown away by the numbers. Demonherd 1 sold 3,000 copies in 6 months… this game hit that in less than a week. A huge part of it is thanks to the insane amount of wishlists we managed to get — we’re almost at 30,000 now! The first game barely had 2,000, so yeah… we’re pretty damn happy with how this turned out. No…
