Hello everyone! In this hotfix, we’ve added an auto-save feature to reduce progress loss caused by unexpected situations.

Previously, the game was saved primarily at key moments, such as:

  • Sleeping until the next day

  • Teleporting

  • Player death

  • Entering or leaving areas with a fade-to-black transition (e.g., temples or NPC rooms)

  • Normal game exits (as long as the game is given time to complete its saving process)

In multiplayer, world data is saved by the host. If the host doesn't trigger these key moments for an extended period, the world remains unsaved. If a crash or unexpected disconnect occurs, this can lead to significant progress rollback.

The new auto-save feature adds an extra layer of protection on top of the existing key-moment save system. When enabled, the game will periodically save at your designated interval, helping lower the risk of losing progress during longer play sessions. You can set the auto-save interval in the Game Settings (ranging from 30 seconds to 30 minutes). Please select an interval based on your PC performance and play style. Selecting "Key Events Only" will maintain the original save behavior.

We have also made several improvements based on player feedback:

  • Fixed an issue where controller users could not select items on the second page of the right-side scroll list in the Learn Talents panel.

  • Adjusted the repair UI to remain open after a successful repair, making it easier to repair multiple pieces of equipment.

  • Added extra explanation and hint dialogue for the "Cave Watcher Clue" quest.

  • Many players mentioned that the second observer in the "Cave Watcher Clue" quest was tricky to find, so we’ve added some text hints to help guide you. While this might not be the absolute ideal solution, we hope it brings some immediate relief to everyone in the short term.

We’ve also been carefully gathering feedback from reviews, community posts, and player groups regarding game design, user experience, performance, bugs, and other issues.

While we may not be able to reply to every message individually, please know we are tracking and discussing all of them. Over the next few days, we will continue prioritizing stability, compatibility, save functionality, and multiplayer issues to ensure everyone can enjoy the game smoothly.

As always, we’d love to keep hearing your thoughts on game design and player experience. Whether it's suggestions, praise, or constructive criticism, it all helps us grow. A sandbox game develops together with its community, and we will keep working hard to improve Wonderia based on your feedback!

If you encounter any other issues or have suggestions for the game, please join us on Wonderia Discord.

Thank you again for your feedback, patience, and support! 🪐🫶

This update targets a common controller and Steam Deck pain point: lining up a Portal on the map. The selection frame is larger, nearby Portals snap into focus, and analog map panning now supports fine input, sustained acceleration, and quicker braking. We also fixed a serious Map Sync Station stall that could disconnect other players. More Precise Portal Targeting on Gamepad Pr…Game update19 Aug 2026v0.5.21 Hotfix | Stronger Save Protection & Bug FixesHello everyone! The most important part of this update is stronger save protection. We have also fixed several issues recently reported by the community. Stronger Save Protection If saving is unexpectedly interrupted or a file becomes corrupted, the game will do its best to preserve the last usable copy and reduce the risk of lost progress. · Improved recovery when unexpected errors occur while…
