Update Notes for 13 Jul 2026

To prepare for future developments, we have had to change the format of save game files. Unfortunately, old save games will not be able to fully load lists of previously purchased vehicles and staff, taxiway-road crossings may need rebuilding, escalator directions may need resetting, and gate linkages reset. We are sorry for the inconvenience that this will cause, however, it will give us better flexibility for the future.

  • Gameplay: Added the option to limit the maximum size of aircraft accepted at each individual Apron, Hangar, and Gate (in fact this new option was the first change requiring the aforementioned change in save game format).
  • Gameplay: Optimized the aircraft taxiing algorithm. Previously aircraft reserved their whole path upon starting to taxi. This resulted though in some aircraft with only short counterpropagating paths having to wait a long time for aircraft that might be far away. Now, aircraft only reserve the path one segment at a time. This should reduce the overall waiting time for aircraft at busy intersections. However, players should still benefit from designing layouts where aircraft paths don’t have to cross too often.
  • Options: Added the option to separate landing fees.
  • UI: The game should now display a warning message upon unsuccessful upload of a saved game to the Steam Workshop caused by not having yet agreed to Steam’s workshop subscriber agreement.

Game update31 Aug 2026Update Notes for 1 Sep 2026Gameplay: Added “Follow Me Car Bays”. Follow Me Cars are no longer stationed on Runways, but a new buildable area called the “Follow Me Car Bay”. When placed next to a taxiway, Follow Me Cars will meet aircraft on the taxiway. Follow Me Car bays also need to be joined to that taxiway with a road. This new system avoids Follow Me Cars using Runways and avoids the issue of Follow Me Cars needing…Game update1 Aug 2026Update Notes for 1 Aug 2026Gameplay: Added the option to play with “Longer Runways” when starting a new game. Longer runways present an extra challenge to the player as they take more space and good service times will require combinations of landing and takeoff runways. To ensure the player can actually build a longer runway when starting, two random extra tiles will be given to the player upon starting with this option.…Game update18 Jul 2026Update Notes for 18 Jul 2026Gameplay: Introduced “Operational Disruptions”. Occasionally, an aircraft might now arrive with a tyre fault, light fault, or sensor fault. The arriving aircraft will come with a warning message by default. Tyre faults will require a special Transporter with a “Tyre Trailer”, while light and sensor faults will require a special Transporter with an “Access Platform”. Players have two options for…
