Hey Agents!
This update is a little different. There is no new screen this time. Instead, I went through the math behind the whole game: I ran full careers in the background, measured every system, and fixed the places where the numbers did not make sense, where a rule worked on one path but not another, or where long careers slowly broke. Here are the highlights.
FIRST HOURS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
- Steam achievements now unlock the moment you earn them. Before, most of them only reached Steam the next time you launched the game.
- "First Signing" now needs a real signing (the starting player no longer counts).
- The first season's main goal is now a 2-player portfolio. The old "first transfer" goal was nearly impossible on Normal and Hard.
- Players start the representation process noticeably warmer, and the player file shows how many steps and weeks it will take before you begin.
- The mission guide now has you build your scout network first.
ECONOMY
- Money from events now scales with your reputation. One bad event can no longer sink a new agency, and late-game events still matter.
- June is now a full month: expenses, sponsorship, interest and the monthly breakdown all run.
- Small Office rent is lower, and the office screen shows your cash runway before you upgrade.
- Hard mode has softer expenses and the same starting money as Normal.
CONTRACTS AND TRANSFERS
- Renewals no longer multiply wages every season; they stop at the club's wage ceiling. If a renewal negotiation breaks down, the table closes for two months.
- Sell-on clauses now pay on the player's next transfer, whichever route it takes, as a share of the profit.
- Buying clubs can no longer go over their budget, and negotiation tables now have deadlines.
- Hard Bargain is rebalanced, and the table shows an estimated budget range for the buyer that gets sharper as your negotiation level grows.
- A transfer your player does not approve can no longer go through by direct acceptance.
RIVALS AND REPUTATION
- Fixed a bug where a player could appear in your portfolio and in rival agencies' books at the same time. Thanks for the report! Affected saves are repaired on load, and you keep your client.
- Rival agencies no longer inflate their reputation forever, and Agent of the Year now goes to the top agency with the biggest season.
- At reputation 98+ you get bigger goals and a cash bonus for a successful season.
- You now get a notification when your agency reaches a new tier, and rival signing notices only show players you care about.
WEEKLY RHYTHM
- Events are now spread across the weeks instead of piling up at the end of the month.
- Transfer offers peak in window months, and half of club requests now match one of your clients.
- The weekly digest has a new "Next Week" section: matches, the transfer window and expiring contracts.
WORLD AND DEVELOPMENT
- Wonderkids no longer collapse when they turn 21.
- Every player's value now comes from one formula, so there is no more value jump right after signing.
- Hidden potential is real: after three months with you, a client's true ceiling is revealed.
- The development panel shows the real monthly growth chance, and young clients who have a great season gain potential.
- Club finances no longer reset when you load a save.
Your existing saves open safely. Thank you for all the reports and feedback on Discord and the forums, they shaped this update. Have fun!
