Ok, everyone. This time Randy gave me a lot of note cards. He says they're in order, but I'm not sure if that was before or after I dropped them.
Randy's Runes
Anyways, let's start with Randy's new toy. I know there were at least 3 cards in here about it.
See, Randy found some runes in this broken machine from some abandoned storage unit. I'm thinking people hoard the weirdest things, but Randy said that these could make our cleaning system extra powerful.
He was building a new thingy to hold the runes, but they were acting sorta wonky being so close to each other, doing "weird" things to the pixels. I mean, I don't know what weird really means here, but Randy told me to keep them apart until he was done building the new rune house.
I figured the best way would be to just store each rune where they would fit the best. They weren't labeled or anything, but I found that I could read runes. I remember there was skinny jeans, and... umm... leaky faucet, and some other ones.
Well, I hid them very well, and I may have forgot... exactly... where I put them. Oh, and then Randy says - unhelpfully - that he just wanted them a few feet apart. That's on him, though. He knows I am an overachiever.
Well, all of this is to say that Randy finished his machine and needs them back. They'll be on the edges of the upgrade tree, probably. Coincidentally, your job description was just updated. Congratulations, Junior Assistant Rune Finder!
Bob's Odds
Now, here is a card about my new game show, **Bob's Odds**.
You probably didn't know this, but I've always wanted to be on television. Randy says I'm shameless, which means I don't get nervous in front of crowds. It's something I was born with, I think.
Anyways, I know you want to be on T.V. as well so we're going to make a game show! Well, it's already made, and if you can believe it, I got Randy to turn storage room K into a studio! We have cameras, lights, cards, more cameras, and a work floor for you to clean pixels. This is totally different from your normal job. You'll be doing this in front of a camera!
We named the game show "Bob's Odds" and Randy even created this awesome sign, which was a weird experience because he kept laughing. Between you and me, Randy laughs at the weirdest things.
Now, for the game show, you will be picking your upgrades from these giant cards. Big things make people excited... and I kept dropping the small ones, so this is better. Anyways, they have upgrades for the different machines.
Oh... if you ever lose, we have to end the season and start over. Wait, that might be another reason Randy is helping! I have a good supplier for these things called "odd balls". Randy uses them to make.. probably good things. I give you these for the money you make in the game show. Randy will buy them from you. He set up a shop outside the studio. Randy said that he sells things that you can actually keep, and that I should have thought to do it. He's probably right, but I'm new to show business.
Right now, we are only approved for 3 episodes, but with my face and your... scrubber, I know we'll get renewed!
Other Changes
In other news, I'm happy to announce that I just got approval for theme days! Once a week or episode, I will put sprites in the loaders that match a certain theme. Randy does this sometimes too, but only after I already finished! He says things like "hamburgers is not a theme" or "you can't just name the theme 'pixel stuff'." ..at least he's helping.
Next, I'm happy to announce we finally replaced the old money and timer widgets on the floor. We inherited those with the building. It used to be a salon. Anyways, the new ones match.
Oh. Randy somehow made it so I can talk faster or slower. I didn't notice a difference. I always think about things after I say them anyways.
Last card!
When Randy replaced the bank widget, he said he found some delayer thing in the counter. This was why that extra free money was showing up at the end of your shift. Turns out we actually owed it to you. Anyways, Randy says you will be paid on time now, and that "literally" money can't be free. Randy is actually wrong on this one, though. I read that every week at my payday lender. It's on the door.
