Latest Details on New Game+ Mode

We had planned to release New Game+ mode earlier, but due to its expansion, we need more time for development and testing. However, we’re nearing the final stages now, and you’ll be able to play it very soon.

As a reminder, our vision for New Game+ is a game mode that combines the map from Campaign mode with the randomness of the upcoming Sandbox mode. The action takes place on a map that you know from Campaign mode, but the mines initially contain all possible resources, and the player can choose which one to start their playthrough with. The player also decides which structures to introduce into the game. In other words, cities and structures on the map are only suggested to the player, but it is up to the player to introduce them into the game when they deem it necessary.

Factories in this mode will not be placed at fixed locations. The player will also build them at a location of their choice on the map. However, each subsequent factory costs more than the previous one. You can save money by deleting factories, as this is now possible. In other words, if your focus has shifted to another area of the map, you can delete factories that are no longer needed.

Objects (depots, bridges, parks, etc.) will have fixed tasks, just like in Campaign mode. However, cities and ranches will offer a choice between two required products, and the player will decide which one to choose. In other words, each object will have only one task at a time.

All of this should provide a fresh experience from a familiar game. We hope you enjoy it!

Development of Sandbox mode is also moving forward. Some of the features being created for New Game+ will be used there. We want to give players the option to customize this game mode to their liking. But we’ll go into more detail in separate posts.

Thank you for playing Deep Corp!

Perhaps the change players have been most eager for is the upgrade screen. Previously, it consisted of a web of random upgrades, and players had little choice in what exactly to upgrade. We listened to your feedback and are now completely overhauling this system. Now, all upgrade…
