We're excited to say that Omen releases tomorrow on Steam! Countless hours of work and late nights has resulted in a game that we're pretty happy with and one that we hope you enjoy too. Thank you to everyone who left a demo review or completed a feedback form for us and a special thank you to people like Splattercat who covered our game when the demo came out. Thank you just for reading this! Anyway let's talk about the game.
Humanity has been reduced to a post-apocalyptic expanse of broken space stations and nomadic ships. Take on the role of an Astral, an immortal starship pilot whose job is to investigate The Veil, a cosmic anomaly hailed by an army of cultists set on inciting a total war to claim power.
At the start of the game, you come across the remains of a derelict monastery suitable enough to use as your base. With the Monastery as your hub, interact with local NPCs to claim missions, customize your ship, and build new weapons for your future raids. It is a prime target for the forces of the Veil, so it’s essential to build out its defenses to survive the brutal waves of enemy onslaught.
Discover over 80 different weapons and utilities by unlocking their blueprints and stealing enough resources from the enemy to craft them. There's four categories of abilities: energy, kinetic, missile, and utility. Utilities range from mines to micro jump drives and shields, find what works for you.
Central to Omen's gameplay is the raid. Every region you visit has guarded resources that you'll need to take. Clear the defenders as fast as you can, enemy reinforcements won't be far behind. If you raid a faction enough, they'll attack the monastery so make sure you're investing in your defenses too.
We hope you enjoy the campaign of Omen and we're looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts. If you're interested in more content from us, let us know what you want to see!
