Closed Circuit: Recursive Idle · published · build 24984531

Tutorial System Implemented. Hopefully this helps better act as a guide for new and returning players. If you are running a fresh save, you will automatically be walked through the tutorial. If you are returning, there is a menu option that will allow you to go through it.
Codex window added. Adds more information about unlocked nodes, mechanics, achievements, and more. Mostly just a helpful resource if you want to know more about how things work.
Daily challenges added. They are a growing set of small daily tasks you can do in order to earn a new meta currency, which leads us to:
Personalization Menu. A new menu that allows you to spend the currency gained from the daily tasks in order to get new color schemes for your system. It's small for now, but its a new way to personalize your system a bit. Over time, I will be adding more themes here, and eventually I would like to expand it to allow for more robust customization options. I hope you all like this small customization feature.
Two New Achievements!
Boot Loop Toggle now properly appears once purchased in Firmware menu.
Gain Rate is now displaying properly.
As it stands, I will be using the "v.1.X.X" series of updates for expanding, reworking, or adding QOL features for existing content. My goal is to take the existing game to the next level, before moving on to adding some post-game content. I have ideas for how to expand the game past the Singularity stage, but I feel like for the time being refining the existing sytems would lead to a better experience overall.
For example: this patch, v1.1.0 has a heavy focus on the onboarding process, and giving players more to strive for in the early game.
Next, v1.1.5 will focus heavily on a rework of the firmware tree as it exists. Your skills should stay intact, but the plan is to update the visuals to a more refined and thematically appropriate state, as well as adding various QOL features to make using the firmware menu much more enjoyable and straightforward.
I will continue on this path of refining certain points in the progression of the game, until I feel I have improved all existing content to where I would like it to be.
Anyway, be sure to let me know if you run into any bugs or issues in this patch, and I will do my best to fix them as quickly as I can! Thank you all for the support so far!
