Hi everyone,
First of all, I want to sincerely apologize for the delay and thank you for your patience and understanding.
Home Store Simulator will now release in Early Access on Monday, August 17, 2026.
I know many of you expected the game to launch on August 12, and I am genuinely sorry that I had to delay it so close to release.
I want to briefly explain what happened and why I made this decision.
Shortly before the originally planned release, I discovered a critical issue that could have seriously affected the player experience. If I had discovered the issue earlier, I would have informed you about the delay much sooner. Unfortunately, I discovered it very close to release.
At that point, I needed enough time not only to fix the issue, but also to properly test the fix and make sure it did not create any additional problems. Trying to do all of that while still releasing on time would have meant rushing something that I did not want to rush.
So I made the decision to delay the launch.
I know that when you spend your money on a game, you expect to be able to enjoy what you purchased. I would not feel comfortable releasing the game while knowing there was an issue that could negatively affect your experience.
I truly value everyone who is interested in Home Store Simulator. I would rather ask you to wait a few more days and give you a better experience than release something I was not comfortable putting in your hands.
The issue has now been identified, and I am using these additional days to finish the fix, test the game again, and make sure everything is ready for August 17.
While working on the release build, I have also been reading the feedback and discussions you have shared with me.
One of the things I decided to improve is the way large products are sold in the store.
Products such as washing machines, refrigerators, freezers, sofas, and armchairs will now function as display products.
Customers will no longer physically pick up these large products and carry them to the checkout. Instead, they will select the product they want and bring a barcoded purchase card to the checkout to complete the purchase.
The purchased product will then be deducted from your warehouse stock. If the product is not available in your warehouse, it will not be available for sale.
I believe this makes much more sense for a home goods store and also gives you more freedom to create proper showroom areas without your large display products constantly disappearing from the store floor.
Smaller products such as laptops, computers, kettles, blenders, coffee machines, and similar items will continue to work as they do now.
TVs will also continue to be purchased directly. They will remain displayed on TV stands and customers will still be able to buy them normally. I think this is a good balance, because while you would not normally carry a washing machine or refrigerator to a checkout yourself, purchasing a boxed TV directly from a store is completely normal.
I am also adding more ways to decorate and organize your showroom areas, including additional decorative options for furniture displays. I will share more about these improvements soon.
I have been reading your feedback, suggestions, and discussions closely, and they have already helped shape some of the improvements coming to Home Store Simulator.
That will continue after Early Access launches. Your feedback will play an important role in how the game grows and improves over time.
You can always reach me through Discord to report bugs, share suggestions, ask questions, or simply talk about the game.
