I gotta finish off the last topic today, 'cause I just can't help myself. I’m itching so much to keep talking about pipes that I can barely sit still. If you haven’t read the last one, get yourself back to the previous devlog right now, then come straight back here.
Alright, where was I?
Since last time, the lads added even more new stuff. Remember? We could already place, cut, and crimp pipes. But that wasn’t even the whole thing! Because let’s be honest, what good are pipes if you can’t actually connect them together, right? That’s exactly what they added.
But connecting pipes isn’t as simple as just going click-clack and sticking two ends together. No chance. You need crimp rings. Once you have this ring attached to the pipe, you can then connect the fitting.
Sometimes you might forget to put the rings on, or you might run into pipes that were placed without them. But don't worry, all is not lost! You'll still have a chance to catch up and place them.
The lads also started worrying that you’d just be making all kinds of twists and turns with all these flexible pipes, so they added an option to run pipes in a straight line for the unbentable ones.
Remember those boring white scissors from before? Well, they look much better now. See those details? They look like a real pipe cutter - the exact kind I use myself on the job!
No more chopping up the pipes like cardboard with regular scissors. This pipe cutter with beautiful animations gradually trims the pipe with every click. That way you can feel even more like a real plumber!
See? And you thought I couldn’t talk about all these complicated things! Mechanics, equipu... thingies. I know my stuff! We’ll see what else they come up with for the pipes.
See you later, plungers!
