The First Spine - Arena · published
Arena has barely caught its breath since the Early Access launch, yet we are ready to show you our first content update. Thirsty will deepen progression, open a new fresh battleground, and push the story forward.
The date of this first content update is set: June 3rd!
The first major addition in Thirsty introduces Breakout Effects, a new layer of progression that extends your influence far beyond the heat of battle. These effects grant advantages that reshape the way you prepare for each run: forging a card with a special capacity, increasing the loot you recover, or unlocking subtle boosts that echo through your entire journey. Each Breakout Effect comes with a 12‑hour cooldown, turning them into strategic tools you’ll want to deploy at the right moment. They’re designed to reward planning, experimentation, and long‑term mastery of your build, giving players new ways to bend the rules of Exodia between fights.
This update also opens the gates to The Yard, a brand‑new location. Entering it places you directly into a queue where another player is already waiting for a match, creating a more immediate and reactive PvP experience.
To round out the update, Thirsty brings a new wave of quests that push the narrative threads of Arena even further. One of them revisits Merope, the first Hunter you faced during the tutorial. Another quest takes a more mysterious turn, weaving a narrative about hidden swords and an ancient power buried somewhere in Exodia. These quests aim to enrich the world, deepen the lore, and give players new reasons to explore every corner of the Arena.
This update is fully developed and passed to our internal testing. We are just about to finish the first tests and we will be on time to deliver it in two weeks!
As a reminder, here's our release calendar.
