Hey!
It's been a while since the last update! After Next Fest, I wrote about how much the game needed a proper introduction to its controls and mechanics. Today, I'd like to show you the new guided tutorial in Moons That Belong!
You start with your home system, Solara, on a small training map. Each lesson gives you something to try, with objectives and visual guides showing where to send your fleets and which controls to use.
Here's what it teaches:
This is the first expansion lesson. The guides show the drag from Solara to Aster, and the objectives update once your order is sent and your fleet begins surveying. If you need another look, there's a Show me button and the option to retry the current step.

Later, you'll connect your growing territory with supply routes. Here, units travel from Solara through Aster to Haven. You'll also practise stopping and restoring that route before moving on to defence and a coordinated attack.

Once you finish, you can continue straight into a battle against the AI on the same map, keeping the systems and supply routes you've built. Contextual hints and the H-key reference are there to help during ordinary matches, too.

And yes, the demo is getting new features again! It will be updated very soon with upgraded graphics, new gameplay features, and the tutorial itself. I'll post another announcement when the updated build is available.
Keeping one system supplied is a start. Next time, I'd like to show you what happens when you have an entire front to look after.

Thanks!
