Footy Bash - Early Access 18th October
That's right! Footy Bash will officially be hitting Early Access on October 18th 2026!
This is a large milestone for us, and first and foremost we'd like to thank those who tested the game for us throughout the development, before/after/during events, and everything in between.
So, what will the Early Access entail?
Features in Early Access
The Early Access of the game will focus on the couch co-op portion of the game, as well as the single player portion of the game. The features included in the Early Access will be as follows:
Quick play (1-4 player matches) - Against your mates or against the AI locally
Local tournament mode - Gather your friends, select your teams, and we'll auto generate a tournament bracket for you! All you need to do is have fun!
Player Builder - Customize each individual player on your team
Team Builder - Customize your entire team by adding in custom players, and setting your teams colours and jerseys
Training mode - A basic on-boarding process for the game to help first time players understand the mechanics they'll be working with
Kick to kick - Don't want to play a full match? Jump into a 1v1 where you can just kick the ball around and have a bit of fun!
Arcade mode - The meat and potatoes of the single player experience! Pit yourself against a mini league, with the AIs difficulty scaling as you go. See how far you can go without losing, and those who beat the Boss Team will be able to add a bit more flair to your custom teams! Elite teams (of unique playstyles) will also randomly appear to offer up some additional challenges along the way!
Customizable match settings - Want longer or shorter matches, or an adjustable AI difficulty? Set the rules of your match to suit how you want to play!
So this Early Access build will be to give those who are at home playing with friends or family the full experience, as well as providing content to those who just want to play on their own.

Is there a free way to play?
Yes! - Grass Roots Edition is free, and is staying free. Grab a mate, and jump onto Quick Play at no cost. As we hit milestones, Grass Roots gets more too - online matchmaking is coming to this tier down the track.
What do I get in the Premiership Edition?
The Premiership Edition ($4.99) is for those who want it all: The Single Player content, Player and Team Customisation, and more, on top of everything in Grass Roots.
What will be added at Full Release?
Instead of waiting until Full Release, we will be releasing certain Milestone updates throughout Early Access, that way on Full Release you'll be getting a full game. Milestone updates are bigger content updates that will add in things like Online Matchmaking, Online Lobbies, and Online Tournaments - so you can play with mates or with strangers, not just on the couch. But we'll get more into how that will all roll out as we get closer to those dates.
Does the price go up at Full Release?
Nope - Premiership edition will stay at $4.99 at Full Release too.
When is Early Access?
October 18th with a road map of Milestone updates announced at the same time.

Right now we're heads-down on the PC Early Access Launch - that's the focus. Best way to hear what's next is our Discord, but no one should have a reason not to play!
