🧟 Dead Dock Protocol — Development Update

A Look at What’s Changing Behind the Docks

We’ve been hard at work on Dead Dock Protocol, and this latest development pass brings a number of gameplay improvements, new systems, and future progression features that are helping shape the experience we want players to have.

Here’s a look at what the team has been working on.

🎮 Gameplay & System Updates

We’ve made several improvements across the core gameplay experience:

  • Zombots can now be killed while they’re on the floor.

  • Controller movement and responsiveness have been improved.

  • Vending Machines now include Ammo, Grenades, and Rez Sticks.

  • Fixed issues with the Reticle Line disappearing or failing to pass through certain tiles.

  • Added an AOE ring indicator to all explosives.

  • Fixed the positioning of the Enemy Aura effect.

  • Added Photo Mode and Control Scheme to the Pause Menu.

  • Mech Smash Attack range has been doubled.

  • Adjusted the range of other ranged attacks and items.

  • Damage and knockback now take distance into account.

  • Laser sight colors now match each Agent's individual color.

These changes may seem small individually, but together they help make the moment-to-moment gameplay feel more responsive, readable, and satisfying.

🏆 A New Tally Screen & Scoring System

We’re also introducing a new Tally Screen and scoring system.

The new system uses a hidden group score based on the team's objectives displayed during a mission. Individual player performance can then affect that overall score.

At the end of the mission, the final score will determine your individual grade:

F, D, C, B, A, Z, Z+, Z++

This is designed to give teams another reason to work together and push for better runs not just survive, but perform as a team. These changes are in the new demo update today. Squad Up, Survive Together Agents.
