Closed Beta Enters Week 2!
Hey everyone! We’re reaching the halfway point of Closed Beta - you’ve been hard at work climbing the Spires, battling it out in beacons, and testing builds galore. We’re so excited to see everything else you get up to in this next week of testing.
We’ll kick things off - here’s what we’ve got on the docket:
[Ongoing] Fan Art Competition Extension
Heads up to all our artists (and MS Paint masters, you’re artists too) - we’re extending the deadline for our Fan Art Competition! You’ll now have until August 5th at 1PM PT to submit your creations. Slide on over to the forums and get inspired by checking out the beautiful collection of current submissions.
[Ongoing] Share your Feedback on Forums
During Closed Beta, we’ve been able to reflect on the work we’ve done over the last few months to improve performance and the new player experience, as well as what’s still to come. These discussions are based on all the feedback you share and what we’re able to observe in your gameplay. We’ll be collecting a ton of info automatically through backend stats but we also love hearing from you directly. Arkheron’s Forums are the best spot to share that feedback.

Bonfire-hosted Custom Games
We’re kicking the week off with custom games! Members of the Arkheron team will be hosting custom matches of Ascension in our Discord Server, with specific blocks for Europe & North America. If you’re new to Arkheron, it’s a great time to hop in and have someone help teach you some tips and tricks. Everyone is welcome! Jump into the #bonfire-presents channel at the following times to join - we’d be so excited to have you!
If you’re playing from Europe, we’ll be hosting your session at 9PM CEST.
If you’re playing from North America, you can join in at 7PM PT.

Community Mini Challenge: Reset Crown
We’re getting ready for another Community Mini Challenge at 10AM PT. This time, our theme is: Reset Crown! Clip a video of your best plays made possible by a reset and post it in our Discord or tag @PlayArkheron on X to enter. Do it with flair, do it with style - “cool” earns points in this contest. Full ruleset here.

Reminder: From Friday–Sunday, our regional servers will flip from Spires queues to Ascension queues for a few hours each. Since we're still growing the community, we're running Ascension in windows for now. It gives new players time to learn the basics in Spires first, and gives us enough similarly skilled players to keep Ascension queues healthy and matches well-balanced.
We've timed these windows around when we expect the most players online per region:

Community Tournament: Irenna Cup
Hosted by Hawks & Nethy, the Irenna Cup closes things out with a bang on the final day of Closed Beta with competitive play in a pick/ban, double elimination format. No team, no problem - this tournament will be taking individual player signups, and balancing teams based on MMR-balancing.

Closed Beta End Time
Knock out your final matches before Closed Beta queues close - we’ll be wrapping this test up at midnight PT July 27th (late night on Sunday for those in the US). Keep an eye out for more news from us coming soon.
