Mrs. Sploot and I are incredibly excited to announce that, after 5 years of development, Nimbit Frontier is officially available in Early Access!
The Early Access release includes 20+ hours of content, with 3 biomes to explore, 42 Nimbit species to discover and nurture, and 24 NPCs to meet.
It's been a long journey getting here, and we're excited to finally share our passion project with all of you.
We hope you'll join us for the next stage of development. We're very active developers and have been working closely with our Discord community since playtesting began over a year ago. Your feedback has already shaped the game in a lot of ways, and that will continue throughout Early Access.
The game has been extensively tested prior to launch. That said, if you encounter bugs, run into issues, or have feedback you'd like to share, you can report it either through our Discord or with the in-game reporting system found in the pause menu.
If you need to send us logs, videos, screenshots, or a more detailed explanation of an issue, Discord is the best place to do so.
For the first two weeks of Early Access, our main focus will be bug fixing.
Even after thousands of hours of playtesting, we're sure there are still lingering bugs we haven't encountered. We'll be keeping a close eye on your reports and working to fix any critical issues we missed as quickly as we can.
After that, we'll begin shifting our attention toward the first major content update, currently planned for late Q4 this year.

Yes!
If you played the demo during or after the June 26 Steam Next Fest, your save file will transfer to the Early Access version.
Sort of!
If you're primarily a cozy player and aren't sure how you'll feel about the combat, we recommend trying the demo first. You can also enable the No Fainting option when starting a New Game.
The first hour of the demo is a good representation of how combat and exploration feel throughout the rest of the game, so it should give you a good idea of whether Nimbit Frontier is for you.
Our goal is to never wipe or reset your save file during Early Access.
The exception is the Experimental branch, where you're opting into unfinished builds that may occasionally cause problems. Even there, we'll do our best to repair saves if an experimental update accidentally damages one.
Due to budget and development constraints, localization is not currently planned during Early Access.
We'll revisit localization as we get closer to the 1.0 release.
We're currently estimating approximately 1.5 years, although development may take longer depending on how Early Access progresses and the feedback we receive.
We don't want to rush 1.0 simply to hit a date.
The best options are either:
Posting in the feedback channel on our Discord
Using the in-game feedback form
We read the feedback submitted through both.
And, of course, if you'd simply like to share your thoughts about the game, leaving a Steam review or telling your friends about Nimbit Frontier helps us enormously.
We've had 3 playtesters spend more than 20 hours each playing on Steam Deck.
The main known issue is that some text can be a little small on the Deck's screen, particularly in interfaces with a lot of information. If you have difficulty reading smaller text, some parts of the UI may be harder to read.
Otherwise, our playtesters have been able to play extensively on Steam Deck.
Thank you to everyone who has wishlisted the game, played the demo, joined our Discord, reported bugs, filled out feedback forms, watched our development from afar, or helped us test Nimbit Frontier over the years.
Five years is a long time to work toward a launch day. We're very excited that it's finally here.
Welcome to Star's End!
