Summer Update (1.1.5.0)

Tower Unite · published 4 Aug 2026, 21:07 UTC

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

This update addresses a selection of bugs but is focused primarily on item improvements and additions!

Anniversary Afterparty Store

A new store has opened in Celebrations, letting you finally spend any left over Anniversary Coins after the event’s ended. Unlike the “active” Anniversary store, this will not let you purchase Halloween or Holiday items with Anniversary Coins.

Limited time items (such as Commemorative Plate - Tenth Anniversary plate and the tri-yearly Party Crowns) will remain in stock until the next Anniversary event starts next year.

New Items

The meat of this update comes in the form of some long-awaited items, some not-so-long-awaited items, and some backports from Elevator.

  • D.I.Y.

    • Canvas Physics, a Physics item with Canvas URL support, multiple shapes, sprite mode, and selectable impact SFX. No longer will you need to use a workshop item for a simple spherical prop you want to throw around.

    • Information Plaque, a unique Note item which displays the Title as a Comment when looked at.

    • Draping Curtain, the highly-requested animated curtains item

    • Draping Curtains (Double)

    • Round Curtain

    • Round Curtains (Double)

    • Static Curtain, a Canvas primitive with Variants in the shape of various curtains (for when you have no need for opening/closing)

  • Condo IO

    • Selector, a module with a list of Outputs you can cycle through or make specific selections from. Similar to the Random node without the Randomness

  • Rob's Imports

    • Briefcase (Aluminum)

    • Briefcase (Leather)

    • Briefcase (Government)

    • Clocktower Face

  • Central Circuit

    • VCR (90s)

    • Meeting Room CRT TV

    • AV Cart

  • Sweet Suite

    • Cupped Candle

    • Basic Wooden Chair

  • Snack Bar

    • Ice-Pop (Holdable)

    • Rocket-Pop (Holdable)

    • Shaved Ice (Holdable)

    • Shaved Ice

Item Changes

Some items have received visual improvements, new functionality, and QoL adjustments.

  • Added a "Multi Mesh" tag for items with Variants or other properties that adjust their model

  • Skeletal Doors (Shutter, Garage Doors, etc) now support the Open Range property.

  • Note items can no longer be read if their contents are empty

  • Gridiron Football projectile now triggers Trigger Volumes (this falls under the Physics filter)

  • Unlisted Canvas Piles 2 & 3 from stores and implemented their meshes into Canvas Pile 1 as Variants, you will still own any Canvas Piles 2 & 3 but they can not be purchased separately anymore. More variants will be added to the Canvas Pile in the future.

  • Art-passed Wall Clock

  • Improved SFX on the Hotbar Torch items

  • Curtains

    • Slightly artpassed, adding flaring to the bottoms and removing mirroring of the patterns

    • Added two new Patterns that match the Victorian furniture set’s fabric

    • Added Canvas URL support

  • Teleporters

    • Added the option for a Fade transition with adjustable length and colour

    • Added a TeleportActivator IO input, which teleports the person who activated it, regardless of whether they're in the volume or not

  • Physics Items

    • Increased hold distance of Shipping Crate (Physics), Plastic Barrel (Physics), and Industrial Barrel (Physics)

    • Added impact SFX to Battery (Physics), Shipping Crate (Physics), Plastic Barrel (Physics), and Industrial Barrel (Physics)

  • Cardboard Boxes

  • Art-passed Open and Closed boxes

  • Added Variants, and material selection (Blank, Shipping, Frozen, Dirty) to Open and Closed boxes. Variants share the same proportions across both items instead of being two different scales like before

  • Added Variants to Soggy Cardboard Box item

  • Bowling Seats

  • Art passed, allowing for brighter coloring

  • Added an alternate, more square, seat design to each item

  • Added variants to Bowling Seat, adding modular extensions useful for creating your own benches

Bug Fixes

  • Billiards: Fixed cue ball flying up into the air sometimes

  • Bowling: Improved how pins are destroyed which should help pins not reappearing properly

  • Fixed view finder achievement "I Can See My House From Here" achievement not always working

Condo Bug Fixes

  • Fixed various "Sky" surface materials not being select-able when a WA material was currently selected

  • Fixed material regression on White Tiles surface material (and replaced the normal map)

  • Improved light bake on Condo:Suite, preventing the blue light bleed near the back wall and sunlight from shining through walls

Item Bug Fixes

  • Fixed grass material being overridden on the Minigolf: Ramp Tool item under very specific selections

  • Hotbar Torch items

    • No longer cast volumetric scatter from their light (this would cause an intense glare in condos with Sky Volume fog)

    • No longer spam being lit when held over a fire (they will only light once now)

    • The flame FX now always stay upright instead of rotating in ways that don't make sense
