Hello everyone! I have some great news to share with you again today. In just 1 or 2 days, LarsGadiel will receive another major update, adding a very interesting new game mode.
As usual, I’ll do it through a series of questions and answers.
I decided to add this new New Game+ mode to the game. It wasn’t necessary, but I think players might enjoy it and it will provide many more hours of gameplay.
I’ll explain it step by step:
The New Game+ option will appear after completing the game, regardless of which ending you get.
The game will ask if you want to move from NG+0 to NG+1, and the same system will apply to subsequent playthroughs.
The first New Game+ level (NG+1) multiplies the enemies’ health and attack power by 4.
This means that if an enemy deals 6 damage in a normal playthrough, it will deal 24 damage in NG+1.
Based on my tests, the first bosses and enemies are relatively easy if you have fully upgraded Eloen’s weapons and have completed the V.Suit.
With each subsequent NG+, the power of the enemies and bosses will increase by another level, and so on.
New HP indicators have also been added to the HUD to make the increased health of Eloen easier to distinguish as you progress through higher NG+ levels.
Each NG+ will increase the power and difficulty of the enemies, but it will also increase the amount of experience they give.
I considered increasing their movement speed as well, but it basically made everything far too chaotic.
The NG+ limit and its increasing difficulty are similar to what you would find in a FromSoftware Soulslike.
Starting from NG+1, a new exclusive enemy will appear: the Elite Redbot.
It is much more powerful, with triple the health and double the speed.
These enemies will be spread throughout the entire game map.
A new type of block has been added that only appears in NG+.
These blocks will block access to certain areas.
The game selection screen will now show whether you are playing NG+1 or higher.
The Stats menu will also display which NG+ level you are currently playing.
You will keep the following:
Health
Weapons, weapon levels, and weapon experience
Teamerite
Pistol ammunition
V.Suit parts and their effects
Deaths
The following will be reset:
The entire map and its completion percentage.
All special items.
All chests except weapon chests, which will remain open.
Bosses and enemies.
Castle doors and switches.
The stories of the secondary characters.
Healing bottles.
The uses of the two Valkyrie Goddess statues.
Yes!
You can now increase Eloen’s attack and defense power much further, which is why the caps have been increased.
Health: 99
Ammunition: 999
Weapon Level: 99
V.Suit Parts: 99
Teamerite: 999
Defense: Unlimited...
For example, in each playthrough you can obtain a maximum of 16 extra HP, so in the next playthrough you can add another 16, and so on.
Yes!
Previously, each weapon had a level cap of +10, but now weapons can be upgraded all the way to level 99.
I’ve added a lot of new swords and pistols so you can reach level 99 with both weapon types.
To obtain the new weapons, you’ll need to talk to the Golden Statue, and you can only choose one.
This means you’ll need to complete many playthroughs if you want to get both weapon types all the way to level 99.
Remember that Eloen’s V.Suit power can increase:
Defense
The amount of health recovered when healing
Pistol power
Sword power
In each playthrough, you can increase your sword attack by +5, and this upgrade will carry over to the next playthrough.
If the cap is 99... the power is absolute.
Finally, I’d like to mention that a new option will be added to the Options menu allowing you to enable or disable gamepad vibration.
This affects:
Taking damage
Attacking
Using the jetpack
Thank you all so much, and enjoy the update!
It will be available in 1 or 2 days, so stay tuned!
