Another Family Office Simulator update is live.
This one ended up being a much deeper correction than I originally expected. The main work is around NNN property economics, older-save compatibility, and a Dynasty/succession state issue reported by a player.
NNN ACQUISITION & OPERATING ECONOMICS
I found a structural inconsistency in how single-tenant NNN properties moved from the AcrePilot listing into an owned property.
A listing could advertise one NOI, but after acquisition the signed lease and operating totals could be initialized from a different gross-income basis. That could make the property's income jump immediately after closing and then flow into valuation and financing.
That has been corrected.
• New NNN acquisitions now establish the signed lease, gross income, NOI, valuation inputs, and financing from one consistent economic model.
• NNN properties are treated as the single-tenant assets they are modeled to be.
• Fresh acquisitions, financing, valuation, lease renewal, vacancy, and re-leasing now use the same operating authority.
• Malformed or unusual unit-count data from older saves can no longer multiply or zero out NNN income.
EXISTING NNN SAVES
I spent a lot of time making sure this did not "fix" older properties by silently rewriting legitimate historical results.
Existing owned NNN properties from older builds preserve their historical gross income and NOI when the save is loaded. Those values remain stable through ordinary month closes until something real happens to the lease, such as a renewal or vacancy.
When an actual lease transition occurs, the property moves cleanly onto the current lease-based model.
You do not need to start a new game.
DYNASTY / SUCCESSION
A player save also uncovered a separate Dynasty-state problem.
In certain later-generation saves, valid succession and Dynasty evidence could exist while the game failed to recover the established state correctly. The ceremony could also tell the player to "Open Headquarters" or say there was one decision left even when no such decision actually existed.
That recovery and messaging have been corrected.
This does not change the 65-point Dynasty readiness requirement itself. It fixes cases where the game already had valid Dynasty/succession evidence but was interpreting or explaining that state incorrectly.
RENT / SAVE RELIABILITY
This build also includes additional safeguards around rent-action identity and acquisition initialization so retries, saves, and older action history remain attached to the correct property and tenant rather than being inferred from ambiguous records.
TESTING
This particular update got a frankly ridiculous amount of testing after I found the NNN issue during my own release review.
The final build was tested against previous-public saves, fresh NNN acquisitions, malformed legacy states, multiple month closes, lease renewal, vacancy/re-leasing, financing, valuation, Dynasty recovery, save/reopen, higher UI scaling, and finally the exact Steam-installed build before promotion.
Existing saves are supported.
If you see something that still looks wrong, especially with an older NNN property or a later-generation Dynasty save, please tell me. Screenshots help, and exported saves are even better.
Thanks again to everyone who has been sending saves and detailed reports. They continue to uncover states that would be almost impossible to manufacture deliberately.
