Hello everyone,
Thank you so much for sharing the Early Access journey of Pawsome Resort with us. We've been reading your reviews and messages across our socials, and it still feels surreal. Seriously, thank you!
In this update, we'll be covering the Achievements, our Early Access Roadmap, and a new hotfix that addressed some of the issues based on your feedback.
This month, we'll be hard at work making sure Pawsome Resort plays and feels great on Steam Deck. We feel like it can be a great pick for a cozy handheld gaming session. If you're on Steam Deck, please send us your thoughts and feedback so we can wrap this up faster and better for other Steam Deck players out there!
Your reviews and feedback showed us that our onboarding system needs a lot more work. So we'll definitely be polishing that out during this month to ensure both new and returning players enjoy a much smoother entry to Pawsome Resort's lovely Pebble Town.
One of our top priorities is introducing character customization options that will let you personalize your character. With this new (and much-needed) feature, you will be able to change your character's hair color, eye color, skin color, outfit, and more!
The last quarter of 2026 will be about expanding your life in Pebble Town, both literally and figuratively. We're planning to introduce a new roster of NPCs and customers alongside a brand-new set of decoration items for your house and resort.
The main focus of this period though, will be introducing new and better animal interactions. We believe there should be more ways in Pawsome Resort to make you feel like you're actually caring for the wild and domestic members of the animal kingdom. Hopefully, we will deliver on that.
Of course, one of our main goals is to add more animals and habitats. Starting from some of the cutest among them, capybaras and otters will be joining Pawsome Resort when we reach this stage of the roadmap!
We definitely want to focus on how we can give you more space so that you can make creative layouts for your resort.
Alongside that, we’re also planning to introduce combat mechanics especially for your cave expeditions. However, we know it’s a slippery slope and combat can change the whole vibe of the game. We’ll absolutely work with you on this one.
A lot of you have shared feedback on the dialogues. Adding new NPCs will give us a chance to create more meaningful dialogues as well as enhancing the current ones. We know the dialogue in the game needs more depth and we’ll ensure it has that in the future.
Quests and minigames are some of the most impactful aspects of Pawsome Resort’s gameplay. We’re planning to introduce a series of new quests and minigames that will hopefully serve as a refreshing departure when you want to take a break from your resort.
While Pawsome Resort puts animal care at its core, there is no limit on the magnificent creatures you can take care of in your resort. Why not accept pet wyverns, build aquariums for sharks or even start accepting dragons for wizards who want to take some time off?
Combining this update with an island map expansion is a concept we're definitely thinking of. But at this point, only your feedback and support can help. Share your thoughts on Discord and help us make Pawsome Resort one of the best cozy games out there.
Co-op is one of the features we're most excited about for Pawsome Resort. But it's also something we believe should only be added once the game feels complete. We believe that if we can deliver a genuinely refreshing cozy single-player experience first, co-op will feel like a natural next step on the development journey.
That's our ultimate goal. Before we get there, though, we want to make sure Pawsome Resort stands on its own as a polished single-player game that also plays wonderfully with friends.
You can also hunt for achievements while playing Pawsome Resort. We currently have a total of 22 achievements active. Sorry for the delay on this one.
You made everything possible. Thank you for being a part of Pawsome Resort's journey. Keep playing and share your feedback!
