Ayo!We bet that you are able to guess what we will discuss today from the title. Ready? Let’s start with the new trailer.

The reception of Eclipsium has been nothing short of unbelievable. To receive so much love, praise and feedback regarding the movement speed for our first game was truly touching. You’re all great!  Yet, today we came not to just praise our audience.

We are more than thrilled to announce our biggest update yet — The Dark Tar. And it is completely free!

What awaits you:

  • An enhanced story — take part in the Princess’ journey through the sea of Dark Tar, spread across 4 new interludes

  • A whole new location — the dream-like spaces of Eclipsium invite you once again to explore its new corners

  • Visual improvements in key areas — updating the color palette, balancing the screenshake, adding other minor improvements to enhance overall visibility of the game

  • Full Steam Deck support! Always wanted to get an emotional journey on the handheld? Now’s your chance!

  • Movespeed adjustment?!

  • A SPRINT BUTTON???

Yeah, we know, that’s a lot. We hope you are ready to sprint through Eclipsium once again and marvel at its new content. But there is more! Of the technical stuff.

  • Optimized asset pipeline — now the VRAM usage is reduced by up to 5(!!!) GB

  • Optimized asset compression — the game’s size on disk is reduced by up to 4(!) GB

  • Multiple performance upgrades, reducing most of the previously found lagspikes and improving overall FPS throughout the game

  • Multiple audio issues, including missing audio assets, hard cut-offs and cutscenes being out of sync, are fixed

And, of course, we have brought you one more exciting thing. The release of the official OST! You have already enjoyed all of the beautiful dark themes composed by Hudson Bikichky in the game, but now the complete OST will be released both digitally and physically. You heard it right. We have collabed with Materia Collective to bring you unbelievably rad CD and vinyl options. Check them out!

  • The digital OST will be available for purchase shortly after the update! Probably in the next few days

  • The physical release for both CD and vinyl options are available to pre-order and estimated to be shipped in Q4 2026

PRE-ORDER THE PHYSICAL OST

Don't just take our word for it, though. Check out The Dark Tar update completely for free and enjoy the digital soundtrack release as they are both already out!

And don’t be shy to share your feelings and opinions on the update! We are always excited to give your comments a read!

‘til next time!
