Time flies, and the game has already been with you all for a whole year! Thank you so much for your continuous support. We'd like to take this opportunity to report our recent development progress and future update plans:
Roguelike Mode is in full swing: The core design was finalized at the end of last year, and we are currently working incredibly hard to create a brand new UI and system [Exclusive to Roguelike Mode]. It is expected to be released or enter testing this summer (July or August), please look forward to it!
High-Freedom Home Screen Character (Waifu) System: Also expected to be implemented with the launch of the Roguelike mode! Once online, you can freely choose any character's illustration as your main menu assistant, and it supports manual position adjustment!
This system will permanently serve as the entrance interface for the Roguelike mode (Uh, did we finally turn into a real anime game? But with no gacha/microtransactions!)
Supports switching to Romance CG Mode, featuring quite a few animated CGs~
Story & Voice Acting: For a better story, Chapters 2, 3, 4, and 5 have also been rewritten
Main Storyline Completely Remade: Frankly speaking, resetting the main story consumes a lot of energy. Initially, we only planned to remake the first chapter, but in practice, we found that "pulling one hair moves the whole body." To prevent Chapters 6-8 from being hindered by the old script, and to stop the plot from dragging down the entire game, we bit the bullet and rewrote almost all of Chapters 2-5. This time, we will try our best to present you with an epic, classic story!
Free Affinity Story Updates: To ease your waiting during this long development period, we will be adding some Phantom affinity stories for free! Also, taking players' valuable suggestions, Alice's expanded affinity story is on the schedule and will be updated for free later!
Seeing how much everyone cares about the main story update progress, we'd like to give you a detailed report on our current situation:
📅 Development & Update Rhythm Currently, we are striving to maintain a stable output: We will write or rewrite one story chapter every month, and complete the cutscenes and level implementations for that chapter the following month.
🚀 Current Progress (About 4/7 towards the goal) To make it clearer where we are at, here is the detailed status of each chapter:
Chapter 1 (Remake): Completely finished and implemented in the game.
Chapters 2 & 3: The text is fully complete! Among them, the cutscenes and implementation for Chapter 2 are also done, but because the "Story Replay System" is still being perfected, we will hold it back to update everything together to avoid a fragmented experience.
Chapters 4 & 5: For the consistency of the overall story, the original Chapters 4 and 5 will be replaced and reconstructed into the Star Dream Chapter.
Chapter 6: Text is complete, currently focusing on story content testing and review. (The current 4/7 progress means Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 6 are basically formed).
⏳ When is the official update? To ensure everyone has a continuous and fulfilling experience of playing it all in one breath, we have decided: When the overall development progress reaches the completion of Chapter 6 or 7, we will officially implement a massive main story update in the game all at once!
Honestly, the workload and scope of remaking almost the entire main story are indeed huge, which makes the progress a bit slow. We sincerely apologize for keeping you waiting!
Before the massive main story update arrives, the brand new Roguelike mode should be released midway to relieve your boredom! Also, as compensation for waiting, we will implement extra character affinity stories and wallpapers for you to experience for free. Thank you for your patience, we will keep grinding! Also, some free swimsuit stories will be updated alongside free DLCs, including some new CGs~ (Expected around May or the Summer Sale!)
