New Features & Content
Inn Services:
The Innkeeper now offers beer (restores MP) or food (restores HP and MP) at a low price. He also provides a safe deposit service for your gold, so you don't lose it in the tower. Since the village healer sleeps at night, the inn is a great alternative for healing after dark.
Gold Weight System:
Each gold coin now weighs 0.005 lbs (100 coins = 0.5 lbs). Unless you carry all your money with you, gold weight should not be a burden.
Audio & Visuals:
Added new music for battle victories, defeats, and the main menu. Also updated the studio logo for Noxturris.
Combat Mechanics:
Interrupting Casts: Attacking an enemy that is focusing to prepare a skill will cancel their concentration and abort the skill, giving you a chance to survive deadly attacks like paralysis.
Unrestricted Skill Use: All offensive skills learned by a character can now be used unarmed, with a bow, or with a melee weapon. The only restriction remains the base learning cost for cross-class skills.
UI & Quality of Life
Loot Changes:
Equipment from dead allies no longer goes directly into your inventory; it falls to the ground instead. Similarly, when the main character dies, gold is dropped on the ground rather than being halved upon resurrection.
Status Effect Icons:
Active buff and debuff icons are now displayed clearly. During combat, they appear below each character's stats. Buff icons above characters have been removed; instead, active buffs are shown above the stats panel (top left) during the player's turn, and above the current target's stats.
Camera Tweaks:
Adjusted how cameras react when a target receives damage from an offensive skill.
Bug Fixes
Merchant Pricing:
Fixed a mismatch between displayed values and actual purchase prices for the strange merchant near the mill.
Ambush Loop:
Fixed a bug where getting ambushed once caused all subsequent battles to include ambushes until the game was reloaded.
Starting Gear Duplication:
Fixed an issue where starting equipment was duplicated upon arriving at the village.
Smarter Enemy AI:
Enemies no longer waste turns using useless skills (e.g., poisoning an already poisoned target or sleeping a sleeping target). They will now choose a standard attack if their skill would have no effect.
Stat Restoration:
Fixed a bug where removing an item with a stat-debuff did not restore the character's original stats.
