Sky Scaffold is live in Early Access. Thank you for being here this early. This is the beginning of a long build, and you're getting in at the base.
Sky Scaffold is a 2D pixel-art incremental sci-fi sandbox about carving out an industrial foothold in a fractured future. You'll:
Build and automate production chains — mine raw materials, refine them through foundries and assemblers, and push value through physical storage, logistics, and dispatch.
Navigate a living political layer — factions and agents have their own voices, histories, and agendas. Who you trade with, what you build, and how your reputation stacks against theirs all matter. The Industry Board shapes how the powers of the galaxy see you.
Explore and defend — sweep zones across a seeded galaxy, run expeditions, and hold the line against faction-weighted invasion waves.
Progress offline — your colony keeps working while you're away, with catch-up when you return.
Prestige and persist — meta-progression, hidden paths, and choices (including a very different way to play if you drift far enough from the establishment).
It's a systems-first game. The fun is in watching tangible labor turn into an empire, and in the emergent trouble that empire stirs up.
Sky Scaffold is deep, but it's early. Many systems are in and working; others are partially unlocked, rough around the edges, or still being tuned. Releasing now lets me build the rest of the game with you instead of in a vacuum. What that means for you:
Frequent updates. Expect regular patches — bug fixes, quality-of-life passes, and rough edges rounded down as fast as I can round them.
Balance is a work in progress. Production rates, pacing, costs, and difficulty will shift as I tune things. Early softlocks and awkward curves are exactly the kind of thing I'm hunting down.
Features will be added and unlocked over time. Some systems are intentionally gated or incomplete right now and will open up as they're ready. The combat and social-interaction systems in particular have more coming.
Progress may not carry over. Because balance and systems are still changing, saves and progression are not guaranteed to transfer between updates or into the full release. Play, experiment, and expect resets along the way.
Your feedback genuinely steers this. If something feels off, breaks, or softlocks you — tell me. Bug reports, balance gripes, and "I wish I could…" ideas are all welcome. Thanks for jumping in early. There's a lot more coming.— Asleepius Games
