Rhazun: The Next Step in Your Journey

After your adventures in the starting village, your path will lead you to Rhazun. Here, you’ll put the experience gained in your early battles to the test against stronger monsters and challenging bosses.

With Rhazun nearing its final stage of development, we’re bringing together towering cliffs, waterfalls, and open expanses with winding paths, small settlements, and wooden structures. From camps nestled between the rocks to buildings perched high above, our goal is to give each area its own identity while maintaining a cohesive environment.

Throughout development, we’re designing the environment alongside the routes players will follow. By refining settlement placement, transitions between areas, and combat spaces, we aim to create a natural flow between exploration and battle. Work on the terrain, vegetation, environmental details, and lighting continues as part of this process.

Do not let Rhazun’s tranquil scenery deceive you. The monsters and bosses roaming these lands pose a greater threat than those in the starting region. Among them is Tazrukan, whom you’ll get to know in this Dev Note.

The footage shown is from a development build. The map’s appearance and details are subject to change.

Tazrukan: Tyrant of Rhazun

Before we began sketching Tazrukan, we wanted to create a boss two to three times the size of a standard character—an imposing presence that would feel threatening the moment players encountered him. His piercing gaze, commanding expression, broad shoulders, and powerful build were designed to embody the ruthless ruler of Rhazun.

We combined segmented metal armor with worn fabrics, leather straps, and fur accents to give him a battle-worn appearance. Details crossing his torso, an ornate belt buckle, and asymmetrical shoulder armor became defining elements of his distinctive silhouette.

Throughout the design process, we also explored a wide-brimmed hat and a massive, metal-studded war club as part of his overall appearance. We considered variations with and without the hat to explore different looks. His weapon was designed to complement his towering frame, giving players a sense of the crushing force behind his blows at first glance.

When bringing Tazrukan into 3D, our priority was to carry the menacing presence established in his concept art into the game. We preserved his stern expression, massive frame, and distinctive armor shapes while refining his appearance to fit the atmosphere of Rhazun.

Worn metal surfaces, leather straps, fur, and fabric textures gained greater detail at this stage. We focused on making each material visually distinct while maintaining his imposing silhouette from every angle. Through this process, Tazrukan evolved from an idea in our early sketches into the formidable threat players will face in Rhazun.

Shaman: Ravencrest Armor

Shaman: Ravencrest Armor

Ravencrest • Concept Design

When designing Ravencrest, the Shaman’s new armor, we wanted to combine the class’s mystical identity with a dark, elegant appearance inspired by ravens. Black feathers rising from the shoulders, an ornate gold-trimmed headdress, and accessories framing the eyes were designed to emphasize the character’s mysterious presence.

We paired black and burgundy fabrics with gold accents to create a balanced color palette. Embroidered panels extending from the waist, a braided sash, tassels, and green gemstones gave the armor a ceremonial feel. Each detail was crafted as part of a cohesive design that reflects the Shaman’s spiritual power from every angle.

From Concept to In-Game Model

When bringing Ravencrest into 3D, we focused on preserving the elegant silhouette and raven motifs established in the concept art. The layered shoulder feathers, intricate facial adornments, and gold patterns woven across the fabrics took shape in greater detail at this stage.

We developed distinct textures for the fabric, leather, and metal surfaces to give the armor depth. Burgundy braids, hanging ornaments, and green gemstones completed the look. The result is an armor set that carries the Shaman’s mystical identity onto the battlefield, with a striking silhouette and intricate details that reward a closer look.

Event Map: Skybound Temple

Rising above the clouds, Skybound Temple is our new event map where players will test their combat prowess and teamwork. While the event is active, this floating temple will host 1v1 and 5v5 battles, giving you the chance to defeat your opponents and earn rewards.

When designing Skybound Temple, we wanted to create a majestic setting, far removed from the world below, with combat at its heart. Temple buildings inspired by traditional East Asian architecture, dragon statues, and banners flying high above the arena lend each encounter a ceremonial atmosphere. Surrounding clouds and mist-shrouded mountains emphasize the temple’s place in the skies.

At the center of the map, we designed a circular stone courtyard with room for both duels and clashes between teams of five. By placing architectural details around its perimeter, we aimed to create an open battlefield where players can track their opponents’ movements and position themselves as a team.

Battles will use a matchmaking system that takes your character’s current Gear Score into account, matching you against opponents with comparable equipment strength. Solo players can queue for 1v1 duels, while premade parties of five can queue for 5v5 battles. A cooldown will apply before you can queue again; we’ll share more details about its duration in future updates.

Individual skill will take center stage in 1v1 duels, while coordination and team strategy will be key in 5v5 battles. Precise timing, positioning, and combining your abilities effectively will be crucial to securing victory.

When the gates of Skybound Temple open, prepare to take your place on the battlefield above the clouds!

Profession System: Development Updates

A world of gathering and crafting awaits! Development of Herbalism, Woodcutting, Mining, Skinning, Fishing, and Treasure Hunting is complete. With this system, which we’ve been working on for a long time, every material you gather in the world of Misa Online now has a purpose and value.

6 professions, 6 distinct experiences

  • Herbalism: Gather medicinal herbs and flowers—essential ingredients for potions and crafting recipes.

  • Woodcutting: Harvest timber and special varieties of wood.

  • Mining: Extract ore and precious metals. Mineral veins glow at night, making them easier to spot.

  • Skinning: Collect hides and animal materials.

  • Fishing: Reel in fish and unexpected finds from the waters.

  • Treasure Hunting: Discover chests hidden throughout the world and claim the treasures within.

Levels and Mastery

Each profession can be leveled up to 75. As you level up, your gathering power, success rate, and critical gathering chance increase, allowing you to gather faster and gain greater yields from the same resources.

Beyond profession levels, there is Mastery. By collecting and reading Mastery Books, you can advance from Novice through Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, Master, and finally Legendary. Your Mastery rank directly affects your rare item drop chance, crafting success rate, and the number of crafting jobs you can run simultaneously.

Your Tools Matter

Every profession has its own tools: pickaxes, axes, fishing rods, skinning knives, and more. Upgrading your profession tools increases your gathering power and success rate. The difference between a basic tool and a powerful one becomes clear out in the field.

Gather Together

Resource nodes are shared. Multiple players can gather from the same ore vein or tree at the same time. Everyone who contributes earns experience, while the loot goes to the player who lands the most gathering hits on the node.

Gathering consumes stamina. When your stamina runs out, your gathering speed decreases. Use a Stamina Potion to replenish it and get back to gathering at full speed.

Hundreds of Recipes, Meaningful Crafting

  • Hundreds of profession materials are used in hundreds of crafting recipes. Crafting takes time: start a recipe, let the materials process, and collect the finished item when the timer ends. Crafting continues while you’re offline, so your completed items will be waiting when you return.

    • Recipes that produce stackable items support batch crafting of up to 100 items at a time.

    • You begin with 1 crafting slot. As your Mastery rank increases, you unlock more slots, reaching 7 at Legendary rank.

Fishing

Fishing works differently from the other professions. Cast your line into any fishable body of water. When a fish bites, a minigame begins—press the key at the right moment to reel in your catch.

Not every cast guarantees a fish. Your Fishing level and your rod’s power increase your catch rate. You can also discover special fishing spots where rare fish can be caught.

Level Milestone Rewards

Rewards await as you reach certain levels in each profession. Keep gathering and earn rewards as you progress!

Professions now play a meaningful role in Misa Online. Everything you gather, craft, or catch has a place in the economy. Don’t miss your chance to try our profession system at GIST – Gaming Istanbul!
